Dec. 23 Hockey Picks

Hockey Guy is back in the house. It's been a while since I checked in. Unfortunately, I had a skate caught in a sharpening machine for a few days and couldn't get loose. At any rate, we're going to give out some money line picks because that's what's been doing well for us (five straight winning columns baby!).

So here we go. Let's make it six winning nights in a row for this feature and give out Friday's winners.

Overall: 20-14-1

Montreal over Washington

The Canadiens have not had a great couple of months. But, they did have several injury concerns. They now have most of their key offensive weapons back in the lineup. Meanwhile, Washington is just not playing any kind of defense. It's just the recipe for Montreal's struggling offense. Look for the Canadiens to win this road game easily.

Atlanta over New Jersey

The Thrashers are not a great road team, but the Devils are not playing great hockey right now. New Jersey's coach recently resigned and their offense is a mess. Atlanta has the weapons to pull this one off. Only a few points separate these teams in the standings, so grab the Thrashers.

Canucks over Flames

Vancouver lost to Edmonton on Wednesday night at home. But it was only their second regulation loss on home ice. Meanwhile, Calgary is not as good as everyone made them out to be. The Canucks know they can't lose two straight divisional games on home ice and will come out with fire in their eyes for this matchup. Take Vancouver.
