This is exactly the kind of crap I’ve been talking about. How is Detroit favored in this game? HOW? They are 1-9 SU in their past 10 games, are still without their four best defensemen or their true number-one goalie and are facing a team that is 14-6 SU in their past 20 games. Sure the Sharks are 0-5 SU when playing Detroit in their last five meeting, but are the oddsmakers even looking at the injury reserve for the Wings? Are they?! While Detroit’s defense gets worse and worse with every passing game, San Jose’s got better with the acquisition of Brian Campbell on the blue-line. San Jose already has some of the best team defense in the league with only 2.43 goals against. A three-game winning streak in opponent’s buildings has these Sharks frothing at the mouth to take down the might Wings in Hockeytown. Wait, can Sharks froth at the mouth? I don’t’ care. You get my point.
