Edmonton over Columbus
Though the Blue Jackets have a winning record at home and the Oilers are under .500 on the road, this is a case of gut feeling. Columbus won their last game, against a weak Blues team. Edmonton has been battling quality opponents as of late, giving them a .500 record in their last ten games. They key in this one will be the first goal of the game. It should be a low-scoring affair, and we look for Edmonton to use their quickness to prevail. Go with the better team here.
Tampa Bay-Atlanta over
These two clubs are both struggling right now. The Lightning are playing well enough to win in some games, but the end result has not been kind recently. Atlanta is just not able to play consistent enough to contend. The Lightning should have no problem scoring goals on the Thrasher D and Atlanta usually doesn't have trouble scoring goals period. This one could be a high-scoring affair. Take over 6.5.
Los Angeles over Chicago
The Kings dropped a tough decision this week to the Red Wings, while the Blackhawks won in St. Louis last night. It's the second game in two nights for Chicago, while LA is too good of a team to not rebound from their loss to Detroit. Take the Kings on the money line here.
Alright boys and girls, Hockey Guy is making you money thus far. Hey, let me enjoy my success while I have it ok? We were 2-1 again last night, giving us a record of 4-2 this week. Our winners were the Chicago-St. Louis under 6.5, the Flyers over the Islanders, and we lost the Stars over the Predators pick. Dallas was up 3-2 in the third period, but surrendered three unanswered goals for a 5-3 loss.
Well here we go. We'll try and keep the winning night streak going with five more picks for this weekend.

Saturday
Montreal over Toronto
Ever the bitter rivals, Montreal and Toronto have split the season series thus far. The Canadiens played Thursday night and lost in shootouts to the Penguins. Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs will be coming in after playing the night before in Buffalo. With a ton of emotion surrounding the number retirement ceremony prior to this one in Montreal, look for the Habs to prevail.
