Hockey Guy is back by popular demand. I know some of you don't think I care, but the truth is I have been busy, busy trying to make heads or tails of this topsy turvy season. While Hockey Guy is on the positive side of the ledger, it is a slight margin, one we hope will grow. So here we go. We'll throw out our picks for Friday night's hockey games and hope they yield you some nice results.
Overall Record 10-9-1
Avalanche over Blue Jackets
Kick them while they are down. Colorado has been up and down lately, but Columbus has been mostly down. The Avs have the talent to win here and the money line seems like the most logical play. Take Colorado and don't sweat this one, as Columbus can't score even they paid off the goalie.
Sabres over Canadiens
This is a question of payback. Buffalo dropped a game to Montreal this season, even though they outplayed them. Montreal is without their top scorer Kovalev and is 2-2 in his absence. Take the Sabres on the money line here, as the Canadiens will be looking ahead to their Saturday battle with Toronto.
Stars over Coyotes
Dallas is on fire. Everything is working for them. Phoenix is struggling, so grab the Stars to make the Coyotes howl here. Not much else to say except do it on the money line. It's a divisional matchup, one that Dallas can ill afford to lose if they want to create some separation.
