The Carolina, they will do battle with the feisty Penguins in Pittsburgh. Sidney Crosby and company will be looking to send more messages to all Eastern Conference playoff contenders on Saturday night.
New York has put on a fine display winning four of their last five games. The one loss during that stretch was a tight 4-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Nobody has forgotten the push forward Jaromir Jagr gave his squad last March when the Rangers made the playoffs thanks to his inspired play. It seems as though that same Jagr is being unleashed this spring.
The Penguins have been atrociously undisciplined, acquiring the most penalties in the NHL recently. They have been squeezing out victories, while dropping some tight ones as well. During the last five games, where they have won three games, every game has been decided by one point or a shootout.
The Ice Birds may be 9-2 SU in their last 11 home games, but the Rangers are a red hot team. Look for this game to melt the Igloo to the ground (if negations awry don’t do so before the game…zing!) as the Rangers upset the Penguins at home by a single lamp-lighter.
