Q: Why can't props be in parlay form?

Bookie: Good question. There are two answers.

The first answer is that our linesmakers can spend a lot of time deciding on the right pointspread or total number, but we put up so many props we can't be sure the lines we put up on them are as good.

The second answer is that props are correlated with each other. Let's say, for example, that you thought (rightly) that in this weekend's Divisional Play-off game Atlanta was going to blow St. Louis off the field. You could have bet on Atlanta to get more first downs, have more passing and running yards, as well as Michael Vick to run for more than 57 yards. Well if two or more of these things happened there was a good chance that all of them would have happened. So we would have had to pay you for a four-team parlay even though the chances of it hitting were closer to those of a two team parlay.
