Arsenal 1:3 Manchester United
The Gunners came out flat against the Red Devils and paid for it, succumbing to a 1:3 loss at the Emirates Stadium. Going into the Big Four clash, the Gunners had all sorts of momentum as well as home edge. The match was theirs for the taking but they failed at the asking. They couldn’t penetrate Man U’s backline save for a 79 th minute goal by Vermaelen. By then they were already down three goals in the hole and it was a little too late.
