Analysis: Both Russia and Spain enjoyed Euro Cup success, but that was way back in the past – more than forty years ago for each side. Recently, both sides have claimed disappointments. For one of these two teams this may change this year. Bookies favour Spain to accomplish this feat. A talented team enters the Euro Cup, one that on paper has the makings of winning a championship title.
In spite of all the stars on the team, no player carries the weight of expectations more than Liverpool striker Fernando Torres. I do like Fernando Torres, but it takes more than one player to win a match – if not a competition. That being said, Spain may get the win. Torres is that good. The bet may pay off after all.
