Premier League Betting Tips: Chelsea and Hull City hit the road

Chelsea FC will be looking to extend its lead over Manchester United at the expense of Everton meanwhile Hull City will hope to continue climbing the table at the expense of Blackburn Rovers.

Soccer Betting Verdict: Chelsea FC head to Everton for what seems to be on paper a straightforward clash but methinks might be tougher than most would expect, even for the mighty Blues. Everton have raised their form recently, especially on home patch. They are undefeated in their last five matches at Goodison Park, including a convincing 2:0 win over Man City. In spite of their encouraging form, the bookies dismiss them rather hastily in the market with large odds of +450.
The hefty price on Everton flies in the face of their coup at Stamford Bridge earlier this season when they drew 3:3 against Chelsea in December. In fact, that was the only time Chelsea conceded any points at Stamford Bridge; their home mark is otherwise unblemished. Indeed, this match will be more exciting and tense than many think it will be and Everton will be more invested than their +450 puppy odds would suggest.
Of course, taking the win is still a tall order for Everton; made tougher by the disappointing loss to Liverpool at the weekend. A draw for Everton would be a happy result, trading at +240. Worth a think methinks.
Chelsea on the other hand are flying high and are after a convincing win over Arsenal. The betting trend will side with Chelsea, listed at reasonable -145 odds to win outright. Hard to argue against that, they are after all the No.1 contenders for the title this season.
Chelsea will be careful in this match as they will not want to risk too much and pay for it with a negative move in the table. For this reason, this might end up being a low scoring affair and that is why the Under 2 ½ at -130 is the favoured outcome.

Soccer Betting Verdict: This match is not earning as much attention as some of the others on Wednesday’s roster of Premier League fixtures because it features two middle-of-the-table sides. However, that doesn’t mean the match is less attractive for being under the shadow of bigwigs like Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal all of whom are also in action today. In fact, there is value to be had and angles for profit in this match, more so than in some of the others.
Hull City are disadvantaged something huge at +375 to win outright. But didn’t they just beat Man City at the weekend? Yes, they did. Rather convincingly mind, with a 2-1 score. That win should be a huge boost for the Hull as they head to Ewood Park to take on their mid-table rivals Blackburn. Makes me think their underdog odds are worth piling onto.
That said the Rovers are favoured at -125 to win outright which is rather generous in my opinion especially when they are after a disappointing 3:0 loss to Stoke City at the weekend. They have a good home record, which underscores their favourite odds, but I can’t help thinking they might be a little unsettled after their unsuccessful road trip.
In terms of scoring, the market favours a low-scoring affair in this match and I would agree. Taking the Under 2 ½ -125 for the match totals and the Over 1 -105 on Hull City team totals seem to be additional sound plays.
