UEFA Europa League action is already underway and as soccer betting picks up pace towards another busy weekend in the markets, what better place to start than this prestigious European competition after Champions League.
One of the more interesting clashes on the books is between Fulham FC and AS Roma, set to get underway at Craven Cottage. Fulham are struggling on the domestic front but they have managed to set aside their Premier League woes and put together an encouraging European campaign. They are currently leading Group D of UEFA Europa League and they will be looking to advance that lead at the expense of AS Roma.

Soccer Betting Verdict: Fulham currently lead Group E on four points after remaining undefeated in the first two cycles of European action. Fulham opened their campaign with a 1:1 draw against PFC CSKA Sofia but they really should have won that match as on paper they are the better side. Fulham found winning form against Basel, beating the Swiss hopefuls 1:0 at Craven Cottage.
AS Roma on the other hand are third in the table, level on points with FC Basel but on the wrong end of the mark because of a poorer goal difference. It used to be Roma would battle clubs like United and Chelsea on the under the hallowed shroud of Champions League in England but now, instead of the Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge it is Craven Cottage for them. How times have changed for this once reputable Italian club.
That said both Fulham and Roma will be looking to take something away from this match, at least a point. Both sides are very defensive-minded so we should see a tight game that could very well cancel out any efforts on the attacking front. A draw seems likely as well as a low score.
