Champions League Betting Group E: Debreceni VSC vs. ACF Fiorentina

Debreceni VSC have come up blank in the first two rounds of their inaugural Champions League campaign and currently sit fourth in Group E with very little left to hope for in the tournament proper. Meanwhile, ACF Fiorentina are second in Group E after leapfrogging Liverpool in the table when they beat the Merseyside outfit at home in the second round of Champions league Group action. Fiorentina will be looking to extend their winning streak in Europe at Ferenc Puskas Stadium when they make the trek to Budapest, Hungary for their third Champions League commitment.

Not only have bookies tipped them at discouraging +800 odds to win outright but they also put the draw out of reach at +340. On the opposite spectrum, the visitors are hot favourites with the bookies listing them at a strong -275 price.
ACF Fiorentina (-275) – The Italian outfit have plenty to be optimistic about both in domestic action and European action. In Italie Serie A, Fiorentina are fourth in the table after eight cycles with a 4-3-1 mark. They are undefeated in their last five fixtures spanning all competitions. Though they are much better on home turf, they have not lost an away match since losing 3:1 to Roma on September 20 in Italie Serie A action.
After beating Liverpool FC in their last Champions League fixture, Fiorentina levelled Liverpool on points at 3 but they moved to second spot on Group E – a better goal difference has them on the opportune side. They continued their undefeated run with back-to-back draws in domestic action – a scoreless draw against Lazio and a 1:1 draw against Juventus.
Debreceni (+800) – Debreceni VSC have been impressive in domestic action and they are fourth in the table after eight cycles having gone 6-1-1. More significantly, they are undefeated at Ferenc Pukas, winning all four fixtures before their fans. They, however, have failed to transcend domestic success to the European arena. In their last Champions League fixture, Debreceni capitulated before their fans, losing 4:0 to Lyon.
Soccer Free Picks: Debreceni are desperate to record a positive result in this fixture, especially with their fans on hand. More importantly, they will be looking to avoid the embarrassment of their last European account against Lyon. But the market doesn’t expect a home victory. Betting on those tempting odds is a long shot. Or is it. Given how well they play at home, they have to find their feet at some point in this competition. One would think.
One has to give the visitors the edge even though they don’t play as good on the away as they do at home. The odds on Fiorentina to win outright are not really enticing, offering pennies for your risk. So better to take the goals. More likely than not, this will be a low scoring affair so take the Under 2 ½ goals -125.
