EPL Betting: Tottenham vs. Blackburn
by Nila Amerova

Tottenham are fourth in the table this week on 49 points after 28 cycles. Nipping at their heels is Manchester City, level on points with after 27 cycles. For Tottenham to stay in the top four after the weekend cycle they have to beat Blackburn Rovers.
Blackburn Rovers are 12th in the table on 34 points after 28 cycles. They are a point shy of 11th placed Stoke City and four points shy of tenth placed Fulham. For Blackburn to continue their positive trend in the table, three points would see them in that direction.
Blackburn are after a 2:1 loss to Liverpool, a mark that extended their negative streak on the road to two consecutive losses. That they have struggled on the road will make their task to avoid another defeat tough. Especially, against a Tottenham side that has a solid home record and is well rested. Their last encounter was on Saturday, February 28th when they beat Everton 2:1.

Soccer Betting Verdict: Tottenham are the -210 favourites going into this match and for all intended purposes the correct play. They are undefeated in their last six home fixtures, which includes wins over stiff opponents in Man City and Everton and a draw against Aston Villa.
Tottenham backers can find added value on the totals. In their last six, the Spurs have contributed nine goals, an average of 1.5 goals a match. If they continue this trend, the Under 2 at -125, which is the favoured result , comes up as the logical bet. However, considering the Rovers struggle to defend on the road, conceding 12 goals in their last six, the Spurs could see their way to scoring more than two goals. I fancy the Over 2 at +105.It goes without saying the combined match totals at Over 2 ½ -120 would seem to be the correct play as well.
The halftime market offers added value on Tottenham at +105 and as well as the Over 1 at -115. Tottenham to score first is the favoured bet at -300.
Where Blackburn is concerned, I don’t particularly see value in their odds. They are massive underdogs at +625 to win outright and significant puppies to take the halftime lead at +480. If there were a good bet on Blackburn it would be the spread. Taking Blackburn to cover the +1 at Evens spread as well as to score Over ½ -125.
