English Premier League Tuesday Betting: Sundearland vs. Bolton
by Nila Amerova

Soccer bettors looking for value bets need look no further than the Sunderland/Bolton clash set for Tuesday afternoon. With three valuable points on the line, this should be an entertaining encounter. Sunderland is hovering near the relegation zone and Bolton not far from it. A handful of points separate each outfit from the danger zone so these three points are crucial for survival. The market expects Sunderland to take this one, listing them at Even odds on the outright win; Bolton are significant puppies at +275. But with all the pressure on Sunderland to win, Bolton might capitalize after all.

Soccer Betting Verdict: Indeed, Bolton have the better form ahead of this encounter. They are on back-to-back wins over Wolverhampton (at home) and West Ham United (away). Meanwhile, Sunderland have been anything but convincing. More concerning is the fact that they seem to have lost the plot both at home and on the away. Five of their last six matches at home ended in a draw; the sixth was a loss. On the road, they have lost four of their last six and drawn two.
Things don’t look promising for Sunderland and nor do they appear to be on the brink of a turnaround. So far, they have been headed in the wrong direction in the table and frankly that negative trends looks to continue. Bolton have been on an upward trend since January when they were in the relegation zone. They are now five points clear of the drop and another three points would be widen the gap further and bring comfort to their locker room.
: Bolton at +275 is frankly too good a bet to pass up. The odds are tempting but also they have the form to back up such a play. Sunderland are generously tipped at Evens considering their unconvincing form and although they might come through the risk seems hardly worth it.
The totals at Under 2 ½ -135 is the favoured outcome. And it may seem to be the better play given they haven’t scored more than two goals in their last six away matches. They met outfits like Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal though so their lack of goals has to be attributed to the quality of their opposition. Sunderland is a different ball game and I think Bolton will have measured success this time. Over 2 ½ +115 for the match totals and the Over 1 +105 on Bolton are the recommended plays.
