EPL Soccer Betting: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Chelsea FC
by Nila Amerova

Chelsea FC missed a huge chance last week to extend their lead in the Premier League table when they fell 2:1 to Everton. They will be looking for redemption against an unsuspecting Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. To say Wolverhampton Wanderers have any hope in this match is a gross misrepresentation. The promoted side is struggling to prove viable in England’s top-flight soccer league. Currently hovering in the danger zone, they are a point clear of a drop into the relegation zone. Looking for survival points against Chelsea is almost pointless. The Blues will not be doing them any favours. It is up to them how they lose, whether respectably or embarrassingly.

Soccer Betting Verdict: Chelsea are solid -325 favourites to win outright at the Molineux and few soccer bettors will be siding against them. The loss to Everton will be set aside as an uncharacteristic hiccup on their part and a mistake, they will not be repeating any time soon. Or will they?
Although it was their first loss since losing to Man City 2:1 on the away, they haven’t been at their best on the road. In their last six, they went 1-3-2 on the away, with draws to lesser outfits such as Hull City, Birmingham City and West Ham United. These missed opportunities are definitely not in character but some fans have to wonder whether they are symptomatic of slipping form. Might it get worse.
Wolverhampton Wanderers to accomplish what Everton did last week is a stretch. Wolverhampton is trading at large odds of +850 to do so, which is right up there in the hallucinatory category. To accomplish the draw, trading at +400, is also in my opinion beyond them. They did beat Tottenham at home but the Spurs are so inconsistent that I would put that down to a lack of focus by the visitors.
Besides, Carlo Ancelotti most likely has prepped his men well for this upcoming clash and I don’t imagine he will brook anything less than a win, especially with an important Champions League clash ahead. The Blues will not want to send the wrong message to Internazionale now would they. Speaking of sending messages, I expect the Blues will send an emphatic express message to Italy with a strong showing against the Wolves. Hence, I expect a high scoring affair from their bench.
