Warsaw, Poland – The Tier II event in Warsaw, Poland, is playing host to some of the top players on the WTA tour, namely defending champion Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Nadia Petrova and Venus Williams.

With the top four seeds at the tournament - No. 1 Justine Henin, No. 4 Kim Clijsters, No. 5 Svetlana Kuznetsova and No. 7 Jelena Jankovic receiving a BYE into the second round, here are your free tennis picks for some of the tennis odds in the first round.

Tennis Prediction: No. 338 Urszula Radwanska arrives at the first round of the J & S Cup as a wild card contender. AT +150, the Polish 16-year-old is a long shot, but with nothing to lose, she just may come up with her best performance. Playing in her favor is home court advantage.

Tennis Free Picks: Going with the underdog, Urszula Radwanska for the victory.

Tennis Prediction: Perhaps the most interesting matchup in the first round, No. 22 Venus Williams meets No. 40 Michaella Krajicek for the first time. With no prior record between these two players as a reference point, the match could go the way of either player.

Williams, following a long absence due to injuries, is on a comeback trail. However, unlike her sister Serena Williams, Venus is not as intimidating an opponent. After an impressive run and catching her 34th career title in Memphis this year, Venus has failed to equal her sister’s impact. The farthest she has advanced in a tournament since then has been to the semifinal round.

Barring any injuries, Venus Williams should advance through to the next round, however, should her nagging wrist injury prove to be a factor, particularly on her serve, she may double fault herself out of this match.

Tennis Free Picks: Venus Williams in three sets.

Tennis Prediction: If stats are an indication, No. 48 Meilen Tu, at +275, is the better bet to advance into the second round. Tu arrives at the start of this tournament with a 14/9 YTD win/loss record compared to No. 13 Elena Dementieva, who holds a 6/4 record.

In contrast, if rank were an indication, then the higher ranked and seventh seed Dementieva is the better player, and as such, Dementieva, at -450, would appear to be the sure bet.

Tennis Free Picks: Tu in straight sets.

Federer might be winning everything these days, but with online sports betting in the tennis lines, odds and props to earn cold, hard cash!
