After his defeat of Kristof Vliegen in quick and systematic sets 6-1, 6-1, there can be no doubt about Nadal’s determination to win a 3rd consecutive title in Monaco.

En route to the final, Nadal must next trounce qualifier Philipp Kohlschreiber, who advanced into the final eight at the Masters Series in Monte Carlo owing to a hard-fought victory against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 5-7 7-6(4) 7-6(4).
