Barcelona, Spain – On the second day of play, No. 27 Robin Soderling - who reached the quarterfinals at the Master Series in Monte Carlo last week - advanced into the second round in a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Gaston Gaudio; No. 33 Carlos Moya advanced in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 over fellow Spaniard Marcel Granollers-Pujol; and No. 32 Nicolas Almagro defeated Italian qualifier Fabio Fognini 6-3, 6-2.

Marat Safin became the first surprise casualty of the day when he crashed out of the tournament against No. 103 Simone Bolelli in straight sets 6-4, 7-6(5).

From the top seeds at the tournament, third seed and No. 5 Tommy Robredo, who received a BYE into the second round, advanced into the third round following his victory against Feliciano Lopez. With Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer, Nikolay Davydenko and Juan Igancio Chela, amongst others, still to play, here are some 2007 Open Seat in Barcelona.

Tennis Prediction: Following a good run at the Monte Carlo Masters Series, the seventh seed at the Open Seat 2007 in Barcelona, No. 18 Juan Carlos Ferrero, is in good shape to advance past No. 185 Pablo Andujar. Save for an unlikely turn of events, Ferrero at -900 is the sure bet.

Tennis : Ferrero in straight sets.

Tennis Prediction: At the Monte Carlo Masters Series, Andreas Seppi looked very good against No. Roger Federer. Although his run was cut short, owing to his loss to Federer, No. 95 Seppi is an underdog worth the bet. At +150, he could orchestrate the upset.

Tennis Free Picks: Seppi in straight sets.

Tennis Prediction: At an outrageous -1200 price tag, No. 4 Nikolay Davydenko should have no contest from No. 218 Yuri Schukin .

Tennis Free Picks: Davydenko in easy sets.

Tennis Prediction: Heavily favored No. 22 Juan Ignacio Chela could find himself challenged by No. 78 Vincent Spadea. A veteran player, Spadea, at +325, is always a good bet for the upset and should not be underestimated. Nevertheless, I’m going with the oddsmakers on this line; Chela should advance into the third round.

Tennis Free Picks: Pick Chela in close sets.

Federer might be winning everything these days, but with online sports betting in the tennis lines, odds and props to earn cold, hard cash!
