Tennis Star Photo Shoots

Former French Open champion Anastasia Myskina has been told by a US judge that she cannot stop a photographer from circulating topless photos that were taken of her during a 2002 magazine shoot.

Because Myskina was 20 years old at the time of the photo shoot and was in full agreement with the photographer’s actions, the judge ruled that the Russian’s rights were not violated when the photos went to press after she one the French Open in 2004.

Myskina’s claim that she did not understand the photo-release form because she was not fluent in English at the time was thrown out by US District Judge Michael Mukasey and as a result photographer Mark Seliger will be free to do as he pleases with the photographs.
