As the sun set in Memphis yesterday, Andy Roddick advanced to the quarterfinals of the ATP RMK Championships with his victory in close sets over Benjamin Becker 7-6(4), 6-4. In the same draw, Andy Murray also advanced after topping Kristian Pless 6-3, 7-6(4), and Yen-Hsun Lu sailed into the quarterfinals following Jurgen Melzer's second set withdrawal.

In the bottom half of the draw Sam Querrey and Mardy Fish persevered and No. 2 seed Tommy Haas squeaked through in close sets 7-6(2), 7-6(5) over Amer Delic.

With the matchups for the quarterfinals set, let us look at some of the tennis odds offered by BetUS.com.

Bottom half of the draw:

Prediction:  World No. 9 and second seed Tommy Haas leads 1-0 in their head-to-heads, following a victory over Sam Querrey at the 2007 Delray Beach Tournament in Florida, USA. Haas, at -350, should have no trouble defeating World No. 92 Sam Querrey.

On the other hand, the crowd favorite Sam Querrey will have nothing to lose, and at +225 he presents good value. Should he cash in on his underdog status, any wager on him will payout double!

Pick: Haas in three sets.

Prediction:  World No. 25 and fourth seed at the ATP RMK Championships, Mardy Fish leads 1-0 in head-to-heads over World No. 99 Teimurez Gabashvili, following a victory at last weeks SAP Open in San Jose. Fish should duplicate his win and advance to the semi-finals.

Pick: Fish in two sets
Result ; Mardy Fish (4) def. Teimuraz Gabashvili, 6-2, 4-1 retired

Top half of the draw:

Prediction:  SAP Open champion back-to back, World No. 13 and third seed at the ATP RMK Championships Andy Murray is heavily favored against World No. 73 Stefan Koubek.  At -700, Andy Murray is the expected winner of this match. While upsets are always possible, take Andy Murray without a second thought.

Pick: Andy Murray in straight sets.

Prediction: Without a doubt, World No. 4 and first seed at the ATP RMK Championships Andy Roddick would relish the opportunity to set up a rematch of last week’s SAP Open Final, where he lost to Andy Murray. Considering Murray falls in the same half of the draw in Memphis, a potential rematch could occur in the semifinal round. World No. 90 Yen-Hsun Lu is hardly an insurmountable obstacle for Roddick.

Pick: Roddick in straight sets.
