GSP Video Interview with BetUS.com
by Nick Meyer

What could be one of the greatest years in the history of both the UFC and MMA in general continues this Saturday night, February 6 in Las Vegas as Randy Couture meets fellow Hall-of-Famer Mark Coleman at UFC 109: Relentless.
The betting action is expected to be fierce on BetUS.com leading up to the fights this weekend, and things will heat up even more when UFC Welterweight Champion and superstar Georges St. Pierre enters the Octagon to defend his belt against British sensation Dan Hardy at UFC 111 in Newark, New Jersey.
St. Pierre doesn't do a whole lot of interviews, but MMA Weekly recently sat down with St. Pierre to touch on a variety of topics facing the Canadian fighter as he prepares to tackle Hardy.
The video can be viewed at BetUs.com in the BetFlix section right now and it features a candid interview St. Pierre and the future of his career.
St. Pierre is expected to be a huge UFC betting favorite over Hardy at UFC 111 when the odds come out. With such a firm grip on the division, he was asked by MMA Weekly if jumping weight classes, specifically to middleweight for a possible fight with Anderson Silva or other 185-pound contenders, was a viable career option and/or next step for St. Pierre in the interview.
St. Pierre said that while he is always looking for a challenge, the move isn't likely to be made for a while because he has his own challenges to deal with right now starting with Hardy.
St. Pierre added that he isn't afraid of the challenge of fighting 185-pounders as it is something he does every day in practice. He often spars with bigger guys like former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans as well as middleweight contender Nate Marquardt, and most reports say that St. Pierre usually does quite well in these sessions.
St. Pierre is interested in adding weight, however, as he said he has put on about 8 pounds of muscle through the use of a nutritionist leading up to the Hardy fight. While St. Pierre has always looked big, he's said that he's felt the difference between himself and bigger welterweights at times and he wants to be ready for the larger Hardy in their fight.
Another obstacle to GSP moving up is that he doesn't want to end up having to fight friends and training partners like Marquardt and Denis Kang. GSP said that he wants to see Marquardt win the middleweight title and he doesn't want to compromise that chance while also stating that the ideal situation is to see all of his training partners ascend to the top at the same time.
St. Pierre also hints at a major announcement forthcoming in the video, so be sure to check it out once again at BetFlix on the BetUs.com page ( http://video.betus.com/), and don't forget to keep an eye on the Sportsbook for UFC 111 odds.
Of course, the action is heating up right now on UFC 109 as well, so don't forget to check out the odds in what could be a stacked fight card filled with big names like Couture, Coleman, Matt Serra, Marquardt, Demian Maia, and more.
