UFC 109 - Marquardt and St. Pierre Videos for BetFlix
by Aaron Torres

Looking for the most up to date Mixed Martial Arts news as we head toward UFC 109 Saturday night? Then make sure to check out MMA Weekly in the BetFlix film room.
Once there, you’ll find BetUS.com’s exclusive interview with Nate Marquardt, as he gets ready for his 185 lb. showdown with challenger Chael Sonnen in Saturday night’s Middleweight bout.
In the UFC betting odds, Marquardt is a heavy favorite, but that doesn’t mean that he’s taking Sonnen (23-10) lightly. Marquardt is quick to praise his opponent, as Sonnen is one of the best wrestlers in the weight class. However, Marquardt also believes that he’s got a more well-rounded overall skill set, with more speed and power. It is these differences where Marquardt believes he’s got the advantage Saturday.
Marquardt promises not to take Sonnen lightly, a big reason why he is a -400 favorite in Saturday night’s fight.
Speaking of Saturday night, two MMA greats will meet in the Octagon, when Randy Couture takes on Mark Coleman. The matchup has a fascinating historical twist for the UFC, as these two Light Heavyweight greats were supposed to do battle in UFC 17, before Couture had to withdraw because of injury. Some 12 years later, they’ll re-enter the ring to face each other Saturday night.
Couture enters the match with a career record of 17-10 and will be a heavy favorite (-400). Should he win, he’s hoping to get another chance at a UFC title in the near future. It is unsure if Coleman (+300) would get a title shot, should he be victorious.
The final piece of news from the BetFlix film room comes away from this Saturday’s card, by way of 170 lb. Welterweight world champion Georges St. Pierre. While “GSP,” (as he’s known to fans), won’t be fighting on Saturday night, he does have a strong rooting interest, as he and Marquardt are close friends.
There has been some talk recently that St. Pierre might be interested in moving up to 185 lbs. to take on bigger fighters, but he quickly shot down those rumors during his stop at MMA Weekly. According to the 28-year-old Canadian, he still has a lot of challenges ahead of him in the 170 lb. weight class, and with friends and sparring partners like Marquardt fighting at 185, he’s still got a lot of work left to do before changing weights.
St. Pierre also added that thanks to a new personal trainer, he’s been able to gain eight pounds of lean muscle, which should help him in his March fight against Dan Hardy.
But before we can talk about that match, we need to get back to Saturday, and the biggest MMA action of the New Year. With just day’s until Marquardt-Sonnen and Couture-Coleman, there’s still time to gather all the information you need to place winning bets on the weekend’s action.
