UFC 66.
Standing in his way is former friend and training partner, Chuck Liddell. Both of these fighters are some of the biggest stars in the MMA business. They have garnered gigantic crowds and a tremendous amount of bets and wagers.
Fans and bettors alike are wondering what kind of fighter Ortiz is going to be when he steps into the ring for UFC 66. Is he going to be the one who was simply outclassed in Liddell vs. Ortiz 1 at UFC 47 or is he going to show the strength that he has in his last five consecutive victories?
Ortiz is hungry for another win, and with the moneyline at 190, those that bet on an underdog win could be well-rewarded if Ortiz can strike with Liddell.
Fighting out of Huntington Beach, CA, the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” has a 15-4-0 record and at this point in his career he wants nothing more than to avenge the loss that came at the hands of Chuck Liddell.
In order for Ortiz to take the belt, he’ll need to keep the fight in the middle of the ring. Liddell is a monster near the fence, so any take-downs should be in the center if Ortiz wants the advantage. In a highly emotional match, Ortiz is going to also need to keep his head clear to pull out a victory. While an Ortiz win isn’t impossible, the smart money is on Liddell (-240).
