Let’s take a quick peek at the other fights on the card at UFC 95 odds.
UFC 95: Free Picks
Per Eklund -170 vs. Evan Dunham +140 - - Eklund is 15-3-1. Dunham is 7 and 0. Dunham doesn’t have the experience but he’s going off at higher odds and he has pretty good skills as a fighter. I like the upset in this one.
Pick: Dunham at +140
Paul Kelly -350 vs. Troy Mandaloniz +250 - - Kelly is a big favorite at -350 and he should be after garnering an 8 and 1 record. Mandaloniz is 3 and 1 but he’s a tough guy. Kelly will have the London fans behind him but I believe that Mandaloniz has a shot.
Pick: Mandaloniz at +250
Mike Ciesnolevicz -120 vs. Neil Grove -110 - - The odds say this is going to be a close match and I can’t disagree. Ciesnolevicz is 17-3-1 and has a huge heart in the ring. Grove is 7 and 1 and is known as a tough striker. Grove will have the London fans behind him. I’ll take Grove because of the odds but this is going to be a very close one.
Pick: Grove at -110
Terry Etim -260 vs. Brian Cobb +200 - - Etim is 11 and 2, hails from Liverpool, England, and just looks like he can fight. Cobb has a decent record at 15 and 4 but he’s going to have really step it up to beat Etim. I don’t think he does.
Pick: Etim at -260
Junior Dos Santos -350 vs. Stefan Struve +250 - - Dos Santos is a 7 and 1 Brazilian fighter which means he’s going to be ultra-tough. Struve is 20 and 2, however, and has been able to build his reputation as a good kick-boxer. Dos Santos is getting the benefit of he doubt because of his Brazilian heritage. I’ll take Struve as a huge upset in this.
Pick: Struve at +250
Paulo Thiago +350 vs. Josh Koscheck -500 - - Koscheck is the favorite because he is 14 and 3, can wrestle, has speed and is just the more athletic fighter. Thiago is 10 and 0 and has a terrific chin. I’m going out on a limb here, but I’m betting Thiago because of the odds.
Pick: Paulo Thiago at +350
Wilson Gouveia +220 vs. Nate Marquardt -300 - - Gouveia isn’t a bad fighter but Marquardt is just a tough dude. I would usually take a fighter like Gouveia in this case, but Nate Marquardt just looks like he’s going to go into the ring and pummel Guoveia. I have to go chalk in this.
Pick: Nate Marquardt at -300
