The rematch hype surrounding boxing’s two most prominent heavyweight names, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, might be the perfect Christmas gift for boxing betting diehards. Still, the IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois is ready to play the Grinch come 2025, and he doesn’t care who he has to fight to do it!

Dubois Eyes the Undisputed Heavyweight Crown

It doesn’t matter whether you refer to him as Daniel ‘Dynamite’ Dubois, ‘DDD,’ or ‘Triple D,’ England’s newest big boy titleholder is one-third of the current world championship owners at heavyweight, and he’s ready to take it all – by facing the biggest stars in the weight class. Sure, Dubois has options at his disposal, but his eyes are firmly on the winner of Usyk vs. Fury II. How come? Well, it’s simple, really: He wants to be the undisputed king!

Aged 27, Dubois shocked the world earlier this year as he ran through Fillip Hrgovic and Anthony Joshua while collecting the IBF strap, which the sanctioning body has removed from Usyk as he pursued the Fury rematch. While the uncrowning of an undisputed champion sucks, it also allows for DDD to pursue unification, and he hasn’t been shy about said intentions.

Dubois is Coming for Their Belts

With a 22-2 professional record, including his IBF title-winning knockout over AJ, that’s still fresh on our minds three months later, Dubois is now in a position where he isn’t just lined up for glory but can also right some wrongs on his record, as we all remember the controversial low-blow drama that led to defeat versus Usyk in 2023.

I’m coming for their belts. The top guys, I want them. If it’s Usyk, it will be revenge,” Dubois told boxing news outlets during a recent interview.

However, should the ‘Gypsy King’ exact his revenge on Usyk first, Dubois isn’t going to discriminate. The Londoner is more than happy to fight Fury and begin to build a legacy as big and impactful as the names we’ve mentioned thus far.

Or if it’s Fury, I’m also ready to cover that territory. We’ll deal with it when we get there. I have some big fights lined up,” the IBF heavyweight champ added.

Joseph Park First!

While all that sounds hunky-dory, Dubois isn’t waiting around for Usyk and Fury to complete their rivalry, as a Fury win could trigger a potential trilogy. Therefore, in early 2025, he will defend the IBF gold, and this could be perfect timing if the Ukrainian successfully replicates his split decision win over Fury from the first fight.

Dubois’s quickest path to undisputed status is to have Usyk win. Then, as long as he gets through Joseph Parker in February, he’ll be primed to get his rematch and opportunity at all of the gold.

Not to mention, such an outcome would also be the best outcome for British boxing fans, as we’d finally have a chance at seeing Fury vs. Joshua – an all-English battle that’s eluded fight fans for years! It may be time to start thinking about your boxing predictions for this bout.

Exciting Times Ahead

For Dubois, he’ll undoubtedly be cheering Usyk on. Why? Well, should Fury win the rematch, who knows what opponent Fury would choose next. Another fight with Usyk is probable, but there’s also a fluctuating number of growing contenders, and of course, entertaining a fight with AJ generates significantly more hype than what a Dubois bout would do for the Gypsy King.

I suppose Dubois and boxing purists need to wait for this one out to know whether the IBF titleholder will see the stars align in his career. The good news is that we don’t have to wait long before the wheels are set in motion: It all starts next week when Usyk and Fury shake the core of the heavyweight landscape world once again.

If the boxing odds are any inclination, Usyk’s -175 moneyline price suggests Dubois will have his wish!
