Paul vs Tate: Battle of the Most Hated
So Is This Actually Happening? Boxing Odds Say ‘Yes’
‘Next Fight’ Odds Favor Tate as Paul’s Next Opponent
Not too long ago, we were contemplating a potential fight between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz. Following his win over UFC legend Anderson Silva, Paul seemed set on fighting another MMA great. But now, a new contender has inserted himself in the picture: Andrew “Cobra” Tate. The former kickboxing champion is also the most hated man on the Internet. And the boxing odds favor this as the next bout for the “Problem Child.”
Let’s check the latest Boxing picks, stats, and Boxing predictions. We’ve plenty of Boxing expert picks for you to consider.

Paul vs Tate: Who Cares?
A LOT of people, actually. The mainstream media may scoff at this type of fight, but this is the type of boxing matchup that can produce numbers. If you look at Jake Paul’s recent fights, he has been on a downward trend. His last fight with Silva did 300K buys, which to Paul, was a big disappointment. But that’s more to do with Silva revealing he was knocked out just before the fight.
According to Paul, his bout with Silva was trending toward another major hit. But Paul’s last three Pay-Per-View bouts did a combined 800K buys. In comparison, his first three sold 4.4 million. Going by the numbers, it appears like Paul’s novelty has worn out. It doesn’t help that many fans have accused his fights as “fixed”.
But Tate brings a different dynamic here. For one, not many know Tate as a former professional fighter. He’s risen to fame thanks to his inflammatory comments across social media – something he takes pride in.
To the people who know about Tate now, he’s the hottest influencer and one that invites controversy wherever he goes. So it’s curious how his fight with Paul will be received.
Some of the most disliked fighters also became the most lucrative. Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor rose to fame with their trash talk. Even Mike Tyson remains one of boxing’s most popular figures.
So when Paul and Tate meet, you can bet online it will be popular enough to generate sales. The mainstream audience hadn’t heard of Deji or KSI and that PPV drew 1.3 million buys. With Tate, who claims to be the most famous (and infamous) man on the Internet, Paul-Tate may just do similar numbers.

Who Wins Between Paul and Tate?
Currently, no actual online sports betting are being offered on this hypothetical fight. Tate has not competed in professional fighting since 2020. His kickboxing record stands at 76-9-0 with 23 knockouts and he won several titles from the International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA).
The 35-year-old also competed briefly in mixed martial arts (MMA), sporting a 2-1 record in both the amateur and professional scenes. He even holds a win over a former UFC fighter in Luke Barnatt back in 2010.
However, Tate has not boxed professionally like Paul. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has also fought and beaten Muay Thai fighters like Anderson Silva. But unlike Silva, Tate is still young and closer to his prime than the former champion was.
MMA fans may cringe at this thought, but Tate is a tougher opponent for Paul than Silva was. In fact, Tate may be the hardest opponent Paul will face and it won’t be a shock to see him lined at a pick’em price or even as a slight underdog.
Paul has not been an underdog in his recent fights. He even opened as a -180 favorite over Silva and a -245 favorite over Hasim Rahman Jr., who is an active professional boxer. So going by this trend, expect Paul as another favorite.
