Former UFC Fighters Collide

Bare-knuckle boxing is a brutal form of MMA and this week’s feature fight is between former UFC stars Joey Beltran and Houston Alexander.

BKFC odds have predicted a close fight between Beltran (5-3-1) and Alexander (2-0), who has made an impressive start to his bare-knuckle boxing career.

Let’s check the latest Boxing odds, stats, and Boxing lines for Beltran vs Alexander. We’ve plenty of Boxing betting odds for you to consider.

Beltran Seeking Bounce Back

Beltran has to have a deep love for MMA to be fighting bare knuckle at 40 years old. However, his last two losses have been concerning and it could be time to hang up the knuckles.

The “Mexicutioner” hasn’t been executing opponents of late after losses to Arnold Adams and Frank Tate. He was a shadow of his former self, which saw him defeat Marcel Stamps and Sam Shewmaker.

He now faces a tough but inexperienced bare-knuckle fighter in Alexander. Surprisingly, he has the benefit of being the younger fighter with Alexander at the ripe age of 50.

The sportsbook has respected Beltran’s impressive MMA career, which spans multiple decades and he believes he has the mental edge.

“I mean, obviously, it’s a totally different landscape. Totally different sport but it’s all good,” Beltran told My MMA News.

“I’m not going to lie, there is a little bit of a mental edge when you’ve already got somebody’s number, you know? But I’m definitely not underestimating him. He’s coming off two devastating knockouts and I’m coming off two losses. So (bleep), I mean he’s the guy that some people would view as the favorite.”

Alexander Loves to Fight

Props must be given to Alexander for fighting at his age. He loves to fight and at 2-0, he has made easy work in BKFC.

“It’s cliche to say that I’m competitive, but that’s the truth,” Alexander says. “There’s something in me that likes conflict. I like physical conflict, and I’ve always liked that, when it comes to fighting, wrestling, and football. I’m a very physical person.”

It’s hard for bettors to back a 50-year-old with confidence. However, he’s unbeaten and Beltran hasn’t been in good form. He could capitalize on the lack of confidence for Beltran, who has already conceded favoritism to Alexander.

We didn’t expect MMA odds to have Alexander as the +130 underdog, so there is value with him.
