Estrada vs Valle: Fighter Previews

Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada

With a professional record of 25 wins and 0 losses, including nine knockouts, Estrada has been a professional boxer for 13 years and has won world titles in two different weight divisions.

In 2022, she entered into a contract with Top Rank and achieved a complete victory against Jazmin Gala Villarino in November of the same year. In March 2023, she won the WBC championship over Tina Rupprecht, who had never been defeated before. In July of the same year, she successfully defended her unified crowns by winning a points decision against Leonela Yudica.

Yokasta Valle

Valle (30-2, 9 KOs) won the vacant IBF atomweight world championship in 2016 after defeating Ana Victoria Polo. In 2017, she failed to win the WBO light flyweight championship against Naoko Fujioka. Then, in 2018, she temporarily lost the title to Rupprecht. In 2019, she successfully won the IBF minimumweight world title from Joana Pastrana.

Online betting fans saw Valle acquire the WBO title by defeating Thi Thu Nhi Nguyen in 2022 and has since successfully defended her united championship on four occasions, including a victory over Anabel Ortiz in November.

Estrada vs Valle: Main Event Breakdown & Analysis

When you have the two best minimum-weight competitors in the world going head-to-head, it’s no surprise that the Las Vegas odds are incredibly tight in their pricing. And honestly, despite the line slightly favoring Estrada at -200, it’s a 50-50 bout in terms of skill.

For Estrada, she’s incredibly quick with her fists and footwork alike. Regarding ring IQ, it’s difficult not to favor her in Friday’s barn burner.

Valle isn’t to be underestimated. She’s equally as fast but has notably been flat-footed in the past. Her defensive issues have been displayed, and they often come at a distance when a more technical opponent is presented.

The Best Boxing Betting Pick: Estrada Moneyline (-200)

We can expect a reading-out process for at least the first four to five rounds; neither of these ladies is going to throw everything into the early exchanges. To continue her unbeaten streak, Estrada must avoid in-the-pocket brawling and utilize her higher in-ring IQ, thus avoiding significant damage early on.

Estrada’s work rate and consistent combinations should eventually tire Valle, and so long as the betting favorite avoids those close-quarter exchanges, it’s her fight to lose. The underdog too often leaves her punches out there and isn’t as defensively sound as her opponent this weekend.

I don’t expect a finish this weekend, as these ladies have had minimum durability issues during their respective careers. However, in what’s expected to be a technical chess game from start to finish, Estrada is unquestionably the more polished fighter in this regard, and she should have enough to get her hand raised via the judge’s scorecards. Make a bet on her at the sportsbook.

  • Estrada is undefeated as a professional
  • Estrada has knocked out fighters Valle has lost against
