Get ready for an old-school beatdown as Anthony Cacace defends his IBO super featherweight belt against former champion Leigh Wood. Those betting on boxing get a real treat with the Irishman as he’s about to lay a beatdown on the inactive Wood, and he’s around -225 to do it. We rarely say that is a solid price to lay chalk, but we are with Cacace all the way.

Best Bets for Anthony Cacace vs Leigh Wood
1. Antony Cacace (-238) Makes Statement
The champ is 36 years old and is no spring chicken. But like many of his compatriots, he’s doing serious work at this age. Cacace is a blue-collar boxer who’s had to work for every opportunity he’s got. What he lacks in power or pizzazz, he more than makes up for in grit and productivity. This should carry him on the boxing fight odds tonight.
Cacace has not only been more active than Wood, but he’s built up momentum. He beat up Josh Warrington so badly that he seriously contemplated retirement. On top of that, he dethroned Joe Cordina, even if there was some controversy in that fight.
Meanwhile, Wood has not fought since late 2023, and it was with Warrington giving him the business. Wood did win the fight via a seventh-round KO, which shows why he’s not a bigger underdog on the boxing betting lines.
While Wood has a puncher’s chance, Cacace is also durable and can withstand some bursts from his challenger. This is a 12-round fight, and we’re confident the champ wins at least eight rounds in what should be an undisputed title defense.

2. Bet Cacace to Win on Points (+125)
There is a slight chance Cacace can finish Wood late in the fight. Wood may be rusty, but he is still cutting plenty of weight to get down to 130 pounds. A drained Wood may be ripe for chopping even if Cacace has a modest 34.8% knockout-to-win rate. It will be through a combination of punches. But we digress, and our boxing prediction is a decision victory.
We’ll give Wood enough credit to stay on his feet long enough for the final bell. He got finished by Mauricio Lara in a somewhat flukish way. Other than that, he has been durable. We expect boxing news to reflect a points victory going to Cacace.
Seeing a Cacace points win at +125 is a solid prop per boxing fight predictions. His only finish, against Cordina, was partly due to him catching Cordina on a clumsy referee interruption. He caught Cordina flush on the chin, and he finished the job. Cacace should take Wood to a decision.
Bet on Anthony Cacace to Win By Decision (+125)
