Bank on Jack Catterall to make another statement as he turns back Arnold Barboza Jr. on Saturday night in Manchester, England. The super lightweight can claim the interim WBO title by winning in his backyard, as he has done in every bout except for the controversial loss against Josh Taylor.
Catterall rectified this blemish and is now rightly favored against Barboza. We see this playing out for Catterall as we bet decent boxing betting odds on it.

Best Prop and Round Betting Picks for Catterall vs Barboza
1. Catterall Wins via Decision
Catterall is not only our boxing best bet to win at -260 but, at -150, betting him to win on points is a sharper choice. He’s a cerebral boxer and not much of a puncher, as seen by his 43.3% knockout rate. We’re not saying he can’t hurt Barboza. We’re predicting he drops the American, but he won’t finish him.

The Briton has a knack for hurting his opponents even if he does not follow through. Per Catterall vs Barboza stats, he hurt Taylor repeatedly and dropped Regis Prograis and Darragh Foley twice each. Barboza has only been dropped once in his career but he’s also struggled fighting southpaws. He barely beat Sean McComb in a bout we called correctly.
Barboza will also feel pressured to be more aggressive here as he is fighting in foreign territory. The pro-Catterall crowd will influence the judging so the American will need to blow his counterpart out of the water. That’s not happening as Catterall is savvier and more experienced against high-quality competition.
“To be honest, I’ve fought the best of them, so far, I think Jack is probably the best I’ve fought. Give this man a round of applause,” Prograis said of Catterall following their bout. “I hope (promoter) Eddie Hearn, (manager) Sam Jones do the right thing, get him a world title.”
Our boxing prediction is for Catterall to beat Barboza comfortably by decision.
Bet on Jack Catterall to Win By Decision or Tech Decision (-150)
2. Catterall Could Also Get a Late TKO
As an alternative boxing bet online, take Catterall to win in Round 7 onwards. If “El Gato” will finish Barboza, it will be later in the fight either via a referee mercy stoppage or the corner throwing in the towel. How does he do it? By exploiting a potentially desperate American.
Barboza will get outclassed by Catterrall. This will put him behind the scorecards and he’ll be more aggressive. This will fall into what Catterall wants and he will exploit Barboza’s assertiveness with his powerful counter-punches. Catterall does not need to knock Barboza out. He’ll just need to drop him and hurt him enough to make him quit.
It’s an unlikely scenario, hence why the boxing line is set at +700. But it’s an alternative bet and sort of a “hedge” if we’re all in on Catterall. It’s difficult to find a scenario where either boxer wins by KO in the first six rounds.
This one is built for the long run, hence why the “fight goes to a decision” prop is awfully short at -500. No, thank you. Let’s stick with this prop for our boxing pick.
Bet on Jack Catterall To Win in Rounds 7-12 (+700)
