Frank Warrant loves a Western theme, doesn’t he? Hopefully, the British boxing fan base does, too, because Queensbury’s “Magnificent Seven” series returns this weekend to make its inaugural appearance at the OVO Arena Wembley.
You won’t find many saloons or cowboys in central London, but Saturday’s main event between Brad Pauls and Denzel Bentley is guaranteed to result in a shootout of pugilist might. This domestic affair is a battle of Britain that will pit the British, WBA Continental, and WBO International middleweight straps as the prized possession. Still, only one Englishman can exit the OVO with the gold and his face on a wanted poster at 160 pounds!
If you’re looking for some treasure of your own, join me as I break down this weekend’s championship boxing between Pauls and Bentley, including fighter analysis, my top betting prediction, and, of course, the best boxing odds courtesy of BetUS Sportsbook.

Bentley vs Pauls Analysis and Betting Preview
Brad “The Newquay Bomb” Pauls
Main event placements and Magnificent Seven appearances for the British middleweight champ Brad Pauls are becoming a common theme. Still, this time, ‘The Newquay Bomb’ will be defending the coveted middleweight strap for Frank Warren’s promotion after we just watched him go to war in back-to-back classics with Nathan Heaney.
Following a draw in their first clash, Pauls and Heaney jumped straight back into the rematch this past July, and it was the former who battered his opponent with just minutes remaining in the twelfth round.
Now, in his first title defense, Pauls is licking his lips at another piece of gold, the WBO Intercontinental belt that currently resides with Denzel Bentley. The only problem is that Bentley has been on a tear since losing to a familiar foe of Pauls in Heaney, and the boxing betting lines have faith in the Londoner’s ability to prove that boxing math doesn’t always equal the anticipated outcome.

Denzel “2 Sharp” Bentley
Two-sharp is such a fitting moniker for London’s own Denzel Bentley. He fumbled his chance at a world title versus Janibek Alimkkhanuly and then dropped the British 160lb strap to Heaney, but the comeback tour has been too sharp, with two knockouts within two rounds in two back-to-back fights. If that isn’t “2-Sharp,” I don’t know what is!
Along the way, Bentley didn’t just rectify his 2022 and 2023 title defeats; he picked up the WBO international gold and an opportunity to redeem his British middleweight championship defeat to Heaney by gaining a shot at Pauls this weekend. Better still, he’ll be doing it in front of a home London crowd, where his friends and family could be the added motivator for him to put on another emphatic performance like we’ve witnessed twice in 2024 already!
💣 Last time out, Denzel Bentley knocked out Derrick Osaze in 2 rounds at York Hall.

Bentley vs Pauls Skillset Analysis
What I love about Pauls is the fact that he’ll pounce if he smells blood. We witnessed this in the Heaney bout, and although he holds fewer knockout victories than his weekend foe, he has no problem in jumping on a wounded dog, so to speak, but will he have the output and precise shots to cause such complications for Bentley?
Pauls is riding high right now, with great cardio and consistent pressure; it wouldn’t be surprising to see him defy boxing predictions and successfully defend his middleweight strap. He will need to be tentative in over-committing to his thirst for blood; however, as a well-seasoned Bentley who boasts serious fight-ending power, he can definitely take advantage of moments like this where openings will be served on a platter.

You’ll instantly notice that Bentley is a fighter with world-level experience versus a higher caliber of opponents backed by his ring generalship and intelligent decision-making. Small advantages like this could prove to be the difference-maker, despite him having a common opponent to Pauls and being on the wrong side of boxing maths.
Regarding fundamentals and technical boxing, you’d probably side with Bentley again. However, this shouldn’t be a path to overlooking his power because this man can crack. If he finds the early confidence he has done in recent bouts, Pauls must mind his Ps and Qs, or else he might receive his first career defeat by knockout.
Overall, this fight has the makings to become an absolute war. Due to Paul’s ability to dirty box and thrive in moments like this, I’d be inclined to favor him if this style of fight takes place. But then again, Bentley is no stranger to warfare either, at a domestic and, more importantly, a world level.
Bentley vs Pauls Betting Trends
- Pauls has never lost by knockout
- Bentley has lost just 1 of his 24 pro bouts by knockout
- Pauls has gone the distance in 5 of his last 7 pro bouts
- Bentley has gone the distance in his most recent world & British title bouts
Bentley vs Pauls Prediction and Best Bet
If we were to back the moneyline in this contest, nerves would be at an all-time high. It’s simply too close to call, as the positive and negative outlooks from Pauls and Bentley present factors that could easily sway or harm this fight in either man’s favor.
But you aren’t here to know what you shouldn’t bet; everyone wants to know the best boxing betting pick! Domestic fights on English soil rarely deliver lopsided performances, as both countrymen will leave it all in the ring before accepting defeat. Couple this with the fact that we have two durable chins and minimal knockout losses between them and expect the judges’ scorecards to intervene, thus making the fight to go the distance a valid wagering position!
