Espinoza vs Ramirez Betting Analysis
Ramirez (-105) Top Pick to Keep Title
There have been a lot of critics of Espinoza, but since reaching the heights of being champion, he hasn’t let anyone down.
After a series of easy fights to start his career, his first big test came against Ramirez in the first meeting. He was knocked down in the fifth round, but he got back up and floored Ramirez in the 12th and final round despite being a massive underdog at +850.
It was a great come-from-behind victory for the Mexican, who followed it up with a win over 22-1 Sergio Sanchez, and we believe boxing odds should have Espinoza listed as the favorite.
Getting -105 for the champion is a good price for online betting, and he should be ready for the second installment in the rivalry.
“I know it will be a war. And it’ll help that I can fight against any version of Ramirez. I’ll be ready whether he wants to fight at a close range or from a distance. Like I said before the first fight, I’m not leaving without the title,” Espinoza said during fight camp.
“I’m preparing for the best version of Ramirez because I know that’s who I’ll face on fight night. And that’s exactly what I want. I want him at his best so there won’t be doubts or excuses when I win.”

Ramirez Wants Revenge
While we’re not backing Ramirez, the Cuban is desperate to avenge his 2023 loss to Espinoza.
It was a controversial majority decision loss for Ramirez, who scored a seventh-round TKO win over Brandon Benitez in preparation for the rematch. He looked good in that fight, which was enough to make him the favorite on Saturday.

Despite having two losses on his record, there is an air of confidence around the challenger, which is reflected in betting. However, he will need to box much better than he did in the first meeting.
“He didn’t surprise me in the first fight. We all know how Mexican fighters are. They never give up,” Ramirez said. “But, given my personal issues, I was not in the best condition. Nevertheless, if the judges saw that he deserved the decision, that’s fine.”
Bettors should expect to see a better version of Ramirez, but we don’t think it will be enough to dethrone the unbeaten WBO champion for our boxing picks.
Espinoza (+275) by Decision
The best value with boxing prop picks is Espinoza by decision, which pays a healthy +275.
He is powerful enough to land a knock down, but we can’t see Ramirez being knocked out by the champion so it should go the distance, as it did in the first meeting.
They are smart fighters, and although Ramirez by decision is the favorite in boxing lines at +160, there is much better value with Espinoza, so that’s where our money is going.
We also fancy the -190 odds for the fight to go the distance. It should be a 12-round war and a knockout would be a surprise, so include the short odds in boxing parlays this week.
Bet on Espinoza Winning by Decision (+275)
