Usyk vs Fury II: No Early Stoppage
The talk is over. Tyson ‘The Gypsy King’ Fury, after weeks/months of proclaiming he’s going to “Take Usyk’s head off,” must now prove to the world that his split decision loss to The Cat earlier this year was a blip in the system… which brings us to our first boxing prediction today.
Unfortunately for the fighting pride of British boxing, this isn’t a washed Derek Chisora or an inexperienced Francis Ngannou… It’s the best damn heavyweight on the planet. Undisputed and undefeated are two words that best describe Usyk, but he’s so much more. Better yet, he hasn’t just been flawless as a heavyweight because he previously dominated the cruiserweight division in a similar fashion. Adjustments for the champ? I don’t think so… He needs to replicate what he’s already done.
Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury just refused to break eye contact for over 11 MINUTES and had to be separated 😭

Athleticism is just the icing on the cake for Usyk, who’s undeniably a boxing equivalent to Einstein regarding sweet science, and these factors alone are enough to triumph over the behemoth, heavy-hitting, quick-footed Fury. Should Usyk control the ring and pressure his foe with an active lead stance to set the pace earlier than last time, he’ll be incredibly difficult to beat.
With all of that said, Fury has looked like a man possessed during the build-up. A bearded Fury isn’t a tribute to Santa; it’s a sign that he means business! When this man doesn’t have time to pick up a Gillette razor, you know he’s been in the gym rectifying his mistakes in the first fight.
Last time out, Fury’s uppercut was money! Should he utilize this more, avoid fighting on his backfoot more often than not, and attack Usyk’s alleged weak body, we could very well be heading for a trilogy in 2025.

BetUS Sportsbook isn’t confident in their stance for Saturday’s heavyweight spectacle.
Usyk, as the winner of the first fight, is a slight online betting favorite, but the first fight was incredibly close for the most part, and it was potentially a standing count for Fury that cost him a draw or even a win.
What we can take from the first encounter between Fury and Usyk is their toughness. This is nothing new for the latter, as the Ukrainian is renowned for plodding forward like a zombie despite being hit by the hardest punchers in the sport, and he’s more of an accumulative damage type of fighter rather than a one-punch-KO type of guy. In contrast, Fury hasn’t been so commendable with his durability, but when it comes to recovery, nobody bounces back from knockdowns and clean power strikes like The Gypsy King.
I wouldn’t be surprised if both men give it their all, and this costs somebody a knockout in the championship rounds. But for our X-Mas parlay, the over 6 ½ rounds feels like a given, based on both Fury and Usyk’s toughness throughout their respective careers.
Over 6 ½ Rounds Supporting Betting Trends:
- Fury has never been knocked out
- Usyk has never been knocked out
- The first Usyk vs. Fury fight ended by decision
- Usyk has just one knockout win versus top-ranked heavyweights
- Fury has just one knockout in under 6 ½ rounds since 2019
- Usyk hasn’t won by KO in under 6 ½ rounds since 2015

Serhii Bohachuk vs. Ishmael Davis: KO Incoming
Now we move onto the meat and bones of our X-Mas boxing parlay, with the help of another Ukrainian pugilist, Serhii Bohachuk, and his opponent, England’s Ishmael Davis.
Bohachuk, 29, is one of the finest combatants at super welterweight. After dropping Vergil Ortiz Jr. multiple times in the summer, many fans, including myself, believe he was robbed of a victory. Therefore, the one recent blemish on his record (24-2-0) doesn’t hold much weight as he prepares for a late replacement opponent in Davis.
Davis, with +600 boxing odds, is expected to be outclassed in this meeting. Not only did he accept this bout on a few weeks’ notice, but he’s never fought an opponent of Bohachuk’s caliber. Sure, the Englishman is crafty and owns relentless power, and a victory would be life-changing for his career. Still, the reality is that Bohachuk is on another level compared to the opponents he’s faced in a short 14-fight career.
Bet This Pick: Under 8 ½ Rounds (-110)

Why the Under Makes Sense
The current boxing odds on Davis reflect his potential to win, but his best path to victory would undoubtedly be to catch Bohachuk and knock him out. He has the power to do so, and he’ll have an all-or-nothing mentality when he realizes he cannot outbox the Ukrainian.
Bohachuk will display his craftmanship in the ring and, with a sprinkle of power, make himself known to Davis early. He’s no stranger to early knockouts, so we shouldn’t be surprised if the Ukrainian makes early work of his inexperienced opponent with elite skill and a full-camp advantage.
No matter who walks out of Riyadh victorious, this one isn’t going the distance, go under with your boxing betting picks.
Under 8 ½ Rounds Supporting Betting Trends:
- Bohachuk has won 20 of his last 22 bouts in under 8 ½ rounds
- Bohachuk lost by round 8 KO/TKO in 2021
- Davis has won by KO in under 8 ½ rounds in 3 of his previous 5 pro bouts
