Fundora vs Booker Prediction, Odds and Boxing Picks: Bet on Decision Win on March 22

As a +350 boxing betting underdog in 2024, Sebastian Fundora shocked the masses and the oddsmakers when he was crowned the WBC and WBO unified super welterweight champion following an impressive performance over Tim Tszyu.
However, they say becoming a champion is easy, but it’s defending the gold that’s difficult. And now, “The Towering Inferno” faces his first threat to the newly shined gold wrapped around his waist as he puts his championships on the line versus an intriguing opponent in Chordale Booker.

Fundora vs Booker Analysis and Betting Preview
Sebastian “The Towering Inferno” Fundora
Defeating Sebastian Fundora is a tall order. No, literally; this behemoth of a man is 6’5”, making him the biggest super welterweight in boxing history. If that isn’t a recipe for disaster for his opponents, wait until you factor in that he’s a southpaw!
What’s crazy is that Fundora doesn’t mind throwing his size advantage out of the window because he loves to scrap! However, he’s a newly crowned champion coming out of a bloodbath with Tim Tszyu, and for once, he focussed more on utilizing his size to fight long, and what do you know… It won him the fight!
With his size alone, Fundora is a problem, but if you match that with his precise and intelligible pugilist skill set, we have a serious champ on our hands. His lone career loss was a knockout in a fight he was winning (Brian Mendoza), but mistakes have been rare outside of this, and his determination in the ring is second to none.
At 6’6″ @SebastianFundo1 is a 154lb cheat code 💯. #FundoraBooker pic.twitter.com/Cdk4oRY82a

Chordale “The Gift” Booker
In step, Chordale Booker, also known as “The Gift,” has been on a tear through the division, notching six straight wins following his only career defeat to Austin Williams. He wasn’t supposed to get this fight, but he’s undoubtedly ready for the challenge, although he’s a huge underdog for a reason, and it might have something to do with his small stature.
Naturally, the biggest talking point around this fight is the anthropometry. Standing at a small 5’9”, he will fight Fundora with a 10-inch reach disadvantage! I know… it’s huge (That’s what she said), and although size isn’t everything (That’s what she said), this southpaw from Connecticut will be forced to master a plan that involves a lot of inside boxing and, therefore, dangerous situations.
Booker delivered emphatic displays as an amateur, and his pro record of 24 bouts and just one loss speaks volumes. That said, with a huge step-up in competition, is he truly prepared to match the levels of “The Towering Inferno”? And, is he the best boxing pick here?
Chordale Booker is NOT afraid to take BIG RISKS in boxing and ESPECIALLY taking on Fundora because he’s grateful for how his life took a sudden turn. @PBConPrime

Fundora vs Booker: Skillset Breakdown
Both men are no strangers to keeping a tight guard as they navigate the ring. Booker will press more often than not, looking to impose his skills once he gets a read on his opponent’s reactions. For Fundora, he doesn’t so much pressure but instead pivots on his front foot with a laser jab, thus keeping incomers at bay.
This is all well and good, but we cannot ignore the elephant in the room… Fundora’s ridiculous dimensions. No super welterweight can train for an opponent with such a tale of the tape, and when it comes to experience, no super welterweight has fought against such dimensions in a professional setting unless they’ve fought Fundora.
Look at the SIZE difference!! 👀

The size of Fundora will force Booker to configure a game plan solely based on fighting through the jab, and while this may sound simple, good luck handling the champ when he amps up the attacks from jabs to inside uppercuts and hooks.
Fundora has a stinging jab but can also switch to heavy shots, but Booker is prone to sitting on his punches, which might deliver some heavy shots to the body. However, when we’re putting Booker’s overall power against Fundora’s accurate, high-volume, and stingy jabs, we have to side with the latter prevailing to match the juice of those sportsbook odds.

Fundora vs Booker Best Bet: Fundora by Decision
Sure, Booker has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in Las Vegas this weekend, but we don’t have a trustworthy sample size versus elite opposition to go by. On the other hand, Fundora just finished with Tszyu, which speaks volumes.
There’s only one winner here, as “The Towering Inferno” will continue lighting this division on fire. With a -1400 moneyline price not offering much leeway at BetUS Sportsbook, taking the excellent value on Fundora to win by decision is my best bet.
Booker’s only loss was a first-round knockout, but Fundora isn’t a heavy-handed, one-punch knockout type of fighter. Booker hasn’t given us a reason to doubt his chin based on a round one KO loss, and as a firefight would be Fundora’s worst plan of action. Expect the champ to stay on the outside, remain safe, avoid those knockout-producing situations, and sail to a unanimous decision victory.
Bet This Pick: Sebastian Fundora by Decision (+200)
