All Four Lightweight Titles on the Line
Haney Puts Unbeaten Record to the Test
Boxing lines have Devin Haney at -270 to beat Vasiliy Lomachenko at the MGM Grand on Saturday, which is one of the most anticipated fights of 2023.
The IBF, WBO, WBC, and WBA Super Lightweight titles are on the line, which are currently owned by Haney.

The 20-9 fighter is ranked third in the division, which is hard to believe given his titles. He’s out to make a statement against the classy Lomachenko, who is the +215 underdog with the sportsbook.
Haney’s Toughest Test?
Boxing betting lines are giving Lomachenko some respect and that’s likely due to Haney’s interesting record.
He is unbeaten, but there are questions about whether beating Australia’s George Kambosos Jr. is the best form guide in this division.
With 15 wins by knockout, Haney has power in his hands. However, he has no problem winning on points. He defeated Kambosos Jr. twice by decision and did it relatively comfortably.
There could be value odds with Haney because of his record. Sport betting markets have him at -270 to win and -150 to win by decision, so he’s not expected to win by knockout.
In true American boxing fashion, Haney has come out calling Lomachenko a dirty fighter.
“We gotta just see. We know Loma, we know that’s his game plan to get inside, make it dirty as possible, try to hit on the break and do things like that,” Haney said.
“But I’m a strong fighter, I’m big, I’m conditioned, and I’m gonna go in there and break him down. I know that’s his game plan, to go in there and break me down and wait until I get tired and all that, but I’m gonna go in there and break him down and he’s gonna be tired.”
There’s no doubting Haney’s class, and although Lomachenko is his toughest fight, he deserves to be the favorite.
Man Devin Haney is literally ready to fight Loma this Saturday instead! 🥊🥊🔥🔥
I’m sure Loma is in great condition as well ready to make this a great fight!

Lomachenko Continues Comeback
The 35-year-old Ukrainian doesn’t often fight as the boxing odds underdog, so it could be the time for bettors to strike.
Lomachenko lost to Teofimo Lopez in 2020 with a one-sided unanimous decision but bounced back with three consecutive victories.
He looked impressive when knocking out Masayoshi Nakatani, but it was his fight against Richard Commey that stood out.
He scored an easy decision win against a quality American fighter, who was 30-3 at the time. Wins like that hold him in good stead against Haney, because he can go the distance and win rounds.
Online gambling markets might have him at +215, but we know he’ll be entering the ring thinking he’s the favorite to win.
“It’s not personal. You have to understand. Four years ago, he was a top boxer, he was a good boxer, but he was without a belt. My goal was four belts. I had three belts and at that moment, I needed one more belt and it was the IBF and [Teofimo] Lopez had this belt. That’s why we organized this fight with Lopez,” Lomachenko said.
If Lomachenko gets off to a fast start, expect live betting markets to bridge the gap. In a fight likely to be decided on points, starting well could swing the fight in Lomachenko’s favor.

Haney vs Lomachenko Picks and Prediction
There is value with both fighters, but we’re picking Haney to emerge victorious in Las Vegas.
He has the ability to throw flurries of punches, which scores well with the judges. Therefore, he could outbox Lomachenko, who might need to catch up late in the fight.
The -270 line is a fair price for Haney, as we priced him around -350.
