Braekhus Still has It
While Braekhus is an aging boxer and from the “older” generation, she’s still got plenty left to prove. The former undisputed welterweight champion may be 41, but she has not absorbed too much damage over the years. Her only losses came against Jessica McCaskill during the turbulent times of the pandemic.
Now back on her grind, Braekhus could be close to her peak form. She’s still hungry and moving up a weight division means she also does not have to cut as much weight. But, more importantly, Braekhus still holds more high level experience than her opponent.
The Norwegian also sports one of the best jabs in the business. She can use it to frustrate Harper, who will undoubtedly look to get in on the inside to do damage. If Braekhus is to make shocking boxing news, she’ll need to slow Harper down and outmaneuver her. That’s a tall task but is something Braekhus could just do.
