Lauren Price is already being crowned as the newest female boxing star. She’s certainly lined as one against Natasha Jonas in a unification bout. While Price has the speed and skills to beat anyone, Jonas is underestimated in the boxing betting odds. These are the two best boxers in the division, and the gap is not as wide as the odds indicate. This gives us a prime spot to bet.

Jonas vs Price Best Prop and Round Betting Picks

1. Jonas Upsets Price (+350), Snaps Unbeaten Record

Bettors quickly steamed the Jonas vs Price odds in favor of Price. The younger champion is undefeated, an Olympic gold medalist, and has fast hands. She’s made it look easy in beating all of her opponents, including the former undisputed champion, Jessica McCaskill. But she’ll have her hands full against Jonas, who will pull off the upset.

Jonas may be 40, but she’s still getting better as a boxer. Her only defeat in the last six years came against Katie Taylor in what was, until the Amanda Serrano bout, the Irishwoman’s hardest duel. She may not be as quick as Price, but she has the great equalizer: power.

The unified champion has powerful hooks and uppercuts. She’s most prolific fighting on the inside, which is where she can get Price. The favorite has potent straight punches and will try to beat Jonas from the outside. But Jonas can muddy up the fight by putting Price in a telephone booth. She has the will and the endurance to do it.

There is still a hunger and a desire and a motivation that burns inside me,” Jonas told Sky Sports. “You keep moving the target to see if you can still get it. And so far I haven’t missed.”

If this was just a boxing pick at 50/50, we would side with Price. But given Jonas’s odds, we’ll gladly take the dog shot.

Bet on Natasha Jonas (+350)

2. Natasha Jonas Wins Via Split or Majority Decision (+500)

Most high-level women’s boxing bouts end with the judges’ scorecards. That’s why the boxing prop bet on this to go the distance is at a whopping -700. This should be cash and is worth betting if you want to whale on it. But for our money, we’d rather double down on Jonas to win by decision at five times our wager.

More than half of Jonas’s victories have come via stoppage. But against the cream of the crop, she’s usually won via decision. Price will also be harder to hit than most of Jonas’s opponents. She is not flat-footed and will not recklessly trade punches with Jonas.

Our underdog will have to work to crowd her and get within range. So the odds of a KO, even if it is salivating at 14/1, is too ambitious. More than likely, Jonas will win this via a razor-thin decision. We see Price dominating the early rounds, but Jonas rallying and making it closer down the fight.

Another bold bet here is for a draw at 12/1. This fight could become too close to call, which would lead to plenty of 50/50 rounds. In a 10-round fight, there’s a decent chance we get equal scorecards.

Bet on Natasha Jonas Wins By Decision or Tech Decision (+500)
