If you love to bet on boxing, Kameda vs Leo isn’t to be missed this Saturday in Japan.

Angelo Leo puts his IBF featherweight title on the line against hometown hero Tomoki Kameda.

Top 2 Picks for Kameda vs Leo on May 24

1. Leo by Decision (-175)

Boxing odds have Leo by decision at -175, which is better value than the -650 ML odds.

He is 25-1 with 12 wins by knockout, including a KO win over Luis Alberto Lopez to win the IBF title. This is his first title defense, and although it won’t be easy to win in Japan, he’s the better fighter.

The 31-year-old American has only one loss, which came to Stephen Fulton in 2021. Fulton is a world-class fighter, and although he was outpointed quite significantly, Kameda shouldn’t pose the same challenge.

My bets on boxing fights can’t include Kameda, despite having 42 wins on his record. The 33-year-old local hasn’t fought anyone of note, and he was a recent loser to Lerato Dlamini in Japan.

Leo wants a meeting with Inoue, which is why he’s fighting in Japan.

“My name is associated with his name. I’m all for it. Pound-for-pound, he’s the best fighter in the world, and I’m in the sport to be the best,” Leo said.

Kameda is ranked 19th in the world compared to No. 3 for Leo, and that’s reflected in my boxing prediction. However, instead of backing Leo to win outright, the best value is with Leo by decision. Getting -175 is a fair price, so include him in your picks.

PICK: Angelo Leo by Decision (-175)

2. Over 10.5 Rounds (-300)

Bettors don’t get massive odds for over 10.5 rounds, but I’m including it in my boxing picks tonight. They should go the distance, and it could come down to a tight judge’s decision.

There has been a stack of money come for the over, and although Leo won his last fight by KO, he won by decision against Eduardo Baez last year and we expect this fight to be similar.

He also lost the bantamweight title to Fulton by decision, so he knows how to go the distance, especially with a belt on the line.

I can’t see Leo going for a knockout. He needs to fight smarter than he did against Fulton, and Kameda isn’t a fighter to go for a knockout either.

Bet Over 10.5 Rounds (-300)
