McCaskill vs Ryan Headlines Boxing Bets This Weekend
Four titles are on the line in the welterweight division in one of the biggest boxing bouts this week. Markets have Ryan listed as the favorite, but there could be better value with the slight underdog.
McCaskill vs Ryan Fight Information
- Fight: Jessica McCaskill (12-3) vs Sandy Ryan (6-1)
- Location: Caribe Royale Orlando, Orlando, FL
- Day/Time: Saturday, Sept. 23, 10 p.m. ET
McCaskill Brings the Classlive
We thought the sportsbook would have McCaskill at around -150, considering she only narrowly lost a chance to win four super lightweight titles in 2022.

The 39-year-old lost by decision to Chantelle Cameron, but she still owns all five welterweight belts, so the champion isn’t getting any respect from boxing betting markets.
The 12-3 fighter had been on a winning run before the loss, and she’s hoping to get back into the winners’ column at Orlando.
Her consecutive wins against Cecilia Braekhus are excellent form guides, and she has the experience edge over Ryan.
Bettors get a fantastic price for the champion, and although it pays to take notice of betting markets, it’s hard not to bite at -110.
If she gets off to a good start, which she usually does, her boxing live betting odds could firm to around -200.
Ryan Eyes Future
Ryan isn’t lacking confidence, which isn’t uncommon for British fighters, but we’re not sold on the hype.
She is 6-1 with two wins by knockout, and her last three wins have been by decision. We haven’t been overly impressed, but she’s the favorite for a reason.
“Jessica is up there, she is on the pound-for-pound list and that’s where I want to be, so I need to beat girls like her to be where she is,” Ryan said. “I really respect Jessica as a fighter, and you’ll see that this week with the shape that I am in and the mentality that I have.
“I remember watching her against Katie and she’s done so well since then, she’s always been in the big fights, and she’s won most of them.”
She’s giving her opponent respect, which is wise. The betting online favorite has a point to prove, but she’s already looking at future fights.
If she wants to become the unified champion, she needs to focus on McCaskill, who is her toughest opponent to date by some margin.

There’s Betting Value With McCaskill
We can’t overlook the value with McCaskill. The American fights in front of her crowd, and we firmly believe she’s the better fighter.
If bookmakers offered -150, we would have taken it. Therefore, we’re locking in the four-belt champion to prevail.
