Ramirez vs Commey Fight Betting Analysis
Ramirez Heavy Favorite
Jose Ramirez is the heavy favorite with boxing lines ahead of his welterweight fight against Richard Commey on Saturday.
Boxing betting lines have Ramirez at -1000 to improve to 28-1, so it could be a one-sided affair in Fresno.
Ramirez Back on the Rise
It’s never easy to bounce back from your first loss, but Ramirez did well to beat Jose Pedraza last year.
It came via decision against a quality fighter, so he wants a chance to recapture his titles. However, he first needs to get past Commey, who is a tricky fighter.
Moving from lightweight to welterweight shouldn’t have much of an impact for the 28-year-old, who has wins over Viktor Postol and Maurice Hooker on his record, so the class is there.
Boxing news reported about his rivalry with Regis Prograis, who claims Rodriguez is ducking him.
“That’s not true,” Ramirez stated. “I haven’t ducked anyone in my whole career.
“My resume says everything, people know me, my team, my coaches, my sparring partners, anybody who has stepped into the ring with me, they know I bring it. I work hard, I fear no man.”
We believe Ramirez, but first, the -1000 betting online favorite must get past Commey. Given his record, he should back himself and work his way back up the rankings.

Commey Can’t Be Underrated
Commey might have four losses on his record, but those came against the likes of Vasyl Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez.
The 36-year-old Ghanan might be past his prime, but he comes off a draw against Pedraza, so it’s a similar form guide to Ramirez.
He owns 27 wins by knockout, so despite being +600 in online sports betting markets, he’s always a threat to land the knockout blow. That’s what Ramirez needs to watch out for, but we hope Commey throws caution to the wind.
This is his last chance to make a bid for a title shot, so he shouldn’t leave anything in the tank. If he lands a punch on the chin, the fight could be over.
“This is going to be a career-defining moment for Richard and he is not taking it for granted,” his manager said.
“We know the magnitude of this fight and Richard is working hard to ensure he comes out victorious because it has the potential of determining his future.”
