3 Best Bets for Weekend Boxing Parlay

  • Leg 1: Zayas vs Spomer Over 8.5 Rounds

We only bet online on great boxers for this parlay. What better way to start it than with this banger of a co-main event as prospect-turned-contender Xander Zayas takes on the tough Slawa Spomer? We’re not digging the -800 line on Zayas even if we favor him to win. Spomer is dangerous. So the best bet in this one is to parlay the over 8.5 rounds.

Zayas has yet to face real adversity in the ring so we’re not sure how he’ll react if Spomer brings it. The German has a handful of knockout wins in his last few bouts but still only has a 55% knockout rate, per Zayas vs Spomer stats. The Puerto Rican has also gone to decision in his last two fights. The harder the competition, the harder to finish.

As such, if there will be a KO here, we don’t see it happening until the ninth round or later. We’re comfortable adding this to our boxing parlay.

PARLAY PICK: Over 8.5 Rounds (-270)

  • Leg 2: Berinchyk vs Davis Over 10.5 Rounds

Zayas and Spomer will put together a banger. But the main event will outdo it as Denys Berinchyk will go to war with Keyshawn Davis. The boxing odds have Davis moderately favored here as the highly-touted American is younger and bigger. But Berinchyk is the champion and has pulled off upsets before. At the least, we expect this to go over 10.5 rounds, as the Ukrainian’s last fight did.

Both Berinchyk and Davis are undefeated, per boxing betting trends. The former is diminutive but durable and not easily hit. He made Emanuel Navarette, a three-division champion, punch the air for most of the fight. While Davis has a sizable reach advantage here, he must work to get past Berinchyk’s defenses.

Berinchyk’s last four fights went to a decision for a reason. While Davis did make short works on Gustavo Lemos and Jose Pedraza, he won’t find the same success here. Parlay the over in your boxing picks.

PARLAY PICK: Over 10.5 Rounds (-250)

  • Leg 3: Jack Catterall to Win

We hop over the pond to cap off this parlay as we expect Jack Catterall to beat Arnold Barboza Jr. decisively. We’d parlay the over here for a hat trick, but Catterall to win is only at -260. He is significantly better than Barboza and should beat him, as he has done with Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor.

Catterall may not have the pizzazz of our earlier boxers, but he’s consistent with his work. And while he’s also smaller than his opponent, Catterall is a better technician. He’s also a southpaw, which is something that has given Barboza fits not too long ago. The American will be confounded against his Briton opponent.

And if this does come down to a close decision, we might see some “home cooking” in favor of Catterall. It’s about time he’s on the right side of the judging. Thus, our boxing prediction is on “El Gato” to get it done.

PARLAY PICK: Jack Catterall to Win (-260)
