Back Texas A&M to Cover Spread vs Kentucky

The Kentucky Wildcats and Texas A&M Aggies will clash for the second time this season when the two meet in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament. Kentucky will be hoping to begin its postseason strong after receiving a bye in the tournament following a strong end to its regular season, winning its final five games. The Aggies, however, will be looking to play spoiler after a strong win against Ole Miss to kick off the tournament, marking their fourth straight victory. Texas A&M took the first game against the Wildcats, and though Kentucky is favored, NCAAB predictions have the Aggies keeping it close.

Kentucky vs Texas A&M ATS Pick: Texas A&M +5 ½

The Wildcats will be looking for revenge after falling to Texas A&M in the regular season, and though they should advance, A&M should keep it close once again.

The Aggies rattled off three straight wins to close out their season and started the SEC tournament strong as well with a nine-point win. A&M’s defense has been strong, giving up 64 points in its last four games, and it’ll need to do all it can to slow down Kentucky’s top offense.

The Wildcats are the second-ranked offense in the nation, averaging 89.5 points this season and 99.4 points in their last five games. However, their defense leaves something to be desired, as the ‘Cats are third-worst in the SEC, allowing 79.1 points a game. That should leave the door open for the Aggies to find some scoring. The Aggies lead the SEC with 17.4 offensive boards a game and had 21 in their last win over Ole Miss.

Texas A&M should be able to outrebound Kentucky and get enough second-chance opportunities to keep it close with the Wildcats and cover in NCAAB basketball lines.

Kentucky vs Texas A&M Player Prop Pick: Antonio Reeves Over 20.5 Points (-109)

Reeves leads the Wildcats this season with 20.2 points, and he has remained consistent through the back half of the schedule. In six of his final seven games of the regular season, Reeves has scored at least 21 points and he is coming off a 27-point performance against Tennessee.

Reeves did well against the Aggies in their first meeting this season as well, scoring 22 points on the road. He averages 23 points in road games. With the Wildcats looking to avenge that first loss and start the postseason strong, expect them to lean on their leading scorer yet again to get it done.
