Indiana in NCAAs for First Time Since 2016
It might come as a surprise to many to discover that there was a time when Wyoming was as much of a regular in the March Madness bracket as Indiana. Now, the teams who have combined to win six national championships are ready to go head to head on Tuesday.
Wyoming had as many Quad 1 wins (four) as Indiana this season and registered three more Quad 2 wins than Indiana. So while the Hoosiers are favored, Wyoming will be getting plenty of love in the March Madness odds. The winner faces Saint Mary’s in the first round.

Indiana is listed at +5000 in the odds to reach the Final Four while Wyoming checks in at +15000.
Let’s check the latest news, stats, injury reports, and March Madness Odds for Indiana vs Wyoming. We’ve plenty of predictions for you to consider.
Indiana’s Big Ten Tourney Run Secures March Madness Bid
When Iowa’s Jordan Bohannon banked in a long 3-pointer in the Big Ten semifinals to end Indiana’s quest for a conference tournament title and an automatic spot in the March Madness bracket, there had to be more than a few in Hoosierland praying to the basketball gods that Indiana would earn an at-large bid into the field.
Those prayers were answered and Indiana likely can thank Big Ten tournament wins over Michigan and Illinois for making that happen.
Indiana had lost four of its final six games in the regular season – all by five points or less – and the Hoosiers were very much on the bubble when the conference tournament began.
The Hoosiers were 39th in the NCAA NET rankings and 4-8 in Quad 1 games. Both of those numbers left things up in the air when it came time to make March Madness predictions.
Indiana looks to build on its strong play in the Big Ten tournament and nobody was any stronger than Trayce Jackson-Davis, who averaged 25.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in the three games.
Indiana has covered against the Las Vegas odds in each of its last four games.
Ike, Maldonado lead Wyoming
Wyoming is a bit of an unknown commodity except for those who are familiar with the competitive Mountain West Conference.
One thing that is known about the Cowboys is their tendency to get locked into tight affairs. Ten times this season, Wyoming played in games decided by five points or less. The Cowboys won eight of those games, including a three-point win over UNLV in the Mountain West quarterfinals. Eventual champion Boise State eliminated Wyoming in the semifinals, with the Cowboys within three points in the final minute before losing 68-61.
Three non-conference games against Pac-12 teams, including an overtime win against Washington, certainly didn’t hurt the March Madness odds of the Cowboys.
Those who tune in on Tuesday could be in for a treat as Wyoming has one of the top-scoring tandems in the country. Sophomore Graham Ike averaged 19.6 points and 9.6 rebounds and scored in double figures in all but one game. Senior Hunter Maldonado contributes 18.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. He had a triple-double in a late February loss to San Diego State and came close in two others.
Wyoming has covered against the college basketball spreads in just one of its last five games.
Indiana vs Wyoming Head-to-Head
Indiana and Wyoming haven’t played since 1999 when Indiana won 99-80 as a 16½-point favorite, so there won’t be much for those who bet online to take from that previous matchup. The two other contests between the schools came during the 1982-83 and 1951-52 seasons with Indiana winning both.,

Indiana vs Wyoming Prediction
Both Indiana and Wyoming could easily be going into the NCAA Tournament off conference championship titles. There is plenty of offensive firepower in this game and it should be a fun one to watch.
Indiana’s bench could be a little shorter considering that Jordan Geronimo, who has averaged 3.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in 32 games, is questionable due to an illness.
The total of 132½ certainly seems tempting to go with the over in this game.
Pick: Over 132½
Pick: Indiana -4
