Saint Peter’s vs Purdue Game Preview, Live Stream, Odds, Picks & Predictions
Purdue two wins away from first Final Four since 1980
Can Saint Peter’s come up with more March Madness magic?
This is just how one of the East Regional semifinals was expected to play out, right?
Third-seeded Purdue took care of its part, with wins by 18 and 10 points, respectively. However, No. 15 Saint Peter’s defied all the March Madness odds with an overtime win over second-seeded Kentucky before ending a long winning streak by Murray State. Honestly, no one said “Saint Peter’s” and “Sweet Sixteen\” in the same sentence.

Regardless, the Peacocks joined Oral Roberts (2021) and Florida Gulf Coast (2013) as the only No. 15 seeds to reach the regionals. Those two teams did not make it of this round.
Purdue (+900) has the fourth-lowest odds to win the national championship, while Saint Peter’s (+12500) is last among the remaining teams.
Let’s check the latest news, stats, injury reports, and March Madness Odds for Saint Peter’s vs Purdue. We’ve plenty of predictions for you to consider.
Saint Peter’s enjoying life as a March Madness Cinderella story

The MAAC tournament champions could’ve been forgiven if they were caught celebrating Thursday’s victory against Kentucky, However, that wasn’t the case Saturday, as the Peacocks never trailed in the Round of 32 win against the seventh-seeded Racers.

Role players delivering for Purdue
Purdue’s Eric Hunter, Trevion Williams, and Ethan Morton don’t receive the attention of teammates Jaden Ivey and Zach Edey, but when Texas rallied to tie the second-round game midway through the second half, it was the Boilermaker understudies turning the tide.
Williams had seven points while Hunter and Morton had 3-pointers during a 13-4 run. Hunter added a pair of free throws after Texas rallied to get back within three, but Purdue came away with the 81-71 win. It’s the fourth tr[p to the regionals for the fourth time since 2017. Now, the attention turns to the Boilermakers trying to reach the Final Four for the first time since 1980. There’s no one rehashing the first-round exit in 2021.
Williams, who averaged 9.4 points over his last nine games, had 22 points off the bench for Purdue. Hunter and Morton combined for 19 points.
Purdue has made it to the foul line 79 times in its first two March Madness games, making 60 of the attempts.
Purdue is 2-7 against the college basketball spreads in its last nine games.

Since it’s a decade ago. the result won’t be of much assistance to those who bet online. Purdue was also a No. 3 seed in that contest and the March Madness predictions are calling for a similar result Friday, with the Boilermakers a solid, double-digit favorite in this game.

Saint Peter’s vs Purdue Prediction
Purdue has already taken care of one mid-major team with its 78-56 opening-round disposal of Ivy League champion Yale. Now comes a test against the latest fan favorite which has blown apart this portion of the bracket.
Saint Peter’s has two players standing 6-foot-10 or taller, but only Oumar Diahame has seen action in the NCAA tournament (nine minutes in the two games). How will the Peacocks deal with 7-foot-4 Purdue sophomore Edey?
The 12½-point is the largest among the eight regional semifinals. That’s quite the number considering Saint Peter’s made it this far, while Purdue hardly looked unstoppable against Texas. We will take Purdue to win, but the thinking is Saint Peter’s has a shot to keep it close.
Pick: Saint Peter’s +12½ (-110)
