NCAAB lines have San Francisco as slight -1½ favorites, so we’re not the only ones predicting a humdinger.

Let’s check the latest news, stats, injury reports, and March Madness Odds for San Francisco vs Murray State. We’ve plenty of predictions for you to consider.

San Francisco Seeks Golden Victory

The San Francisco Dons might have lost to the Gonzaga Bulldogs, but it was an invaluable experience.

The 81-71 loss showed that they can compete against the best teams in the National Championship and we don’t put Murray State in that category.

It continued their impressive form after beating San Diego and BYU with ease, so the Dons are a team to watch out for.

They were +14½ underdogs to Gonzaga, which was their fourth betting spread cover from their last five games. It has been a much-needed period of good form after recording just a 14-18-1 ATS record.

The sportsbook is giving the Dons respect as favorites, but they could have been around -4, so there is value with the current line.

Murray State Keep Winning

It’s tough to criticize a team that keeps winning, so there aren’t many negatives to say about the Murray State Racers.

They are 30-2 and 16-15-1 ATS, but they have failed to cover the spread in four of their last five games, which isn’t ideal.

A case can be made that Murray State hasn’t beaten any teams of note, which is true. The Ohio Valley Conference is one of the weaker conferences in college basketball, so it’s tough to get a gauge on their true ability.

Their OVC Championship win came over Morehead State, who are 23-11. Justice Hill was the standout with 21 points and he collected the tournament MVP.

“It was just a lot of hard work,” Hill told ESPN. “I don’t really mind not being looked at. I really just want to win. Knowing I’ve got two guys on the side of me (Williams and Brown) who can go for 30-plus points each night really actually takes a lot of pressure off of me going into games knowing that these two will be the main focus of the other team.”

It’s not common to have a nationally-ranked team as outsiders with college basketball lines. Murray State needs to show that it can compete on the big stage to be respected by bookmakers.

San Francisco vs Murray State Head-to-Head

It’s the first meeting in over 10 years for the San Francisco Dons and Murray State Racers.

The most recent meeting came in 2011 when the Racers won 70-67 as -4½-point favorites.

San Francisco vs Murray State Betting Lines

San Francisco vs Murray State Prediction

We are keen on the San Francisco Dons and they are one of our NCAAB best bets for the first round.

Despite facing a team with an excellent winning record, having experience against Gonzaga is invaluable and they were excellent in defeat.

Betting online lines have taken this into account when framing the market and we would have been prepared to take the Dons at higher spread.

Bookmakers have the total at 137½ points and the over could be worth a play. It should be an offensively-minded game from the outset, so we could see some big scoring runs.

Pick: San Francisco Dons -1½
