The longest active winning streak among Big 12 teams is a rousing two wins in a row by Texas. The Longhorns, who are an impressive 15-1 at home, will need to win at Baylor on Saturday for the first time in six years to extend that streak.

On the other end of the spectrum, Iowa State was ranked as high as eighth in the Associated Press poll and now are 10th (and last) in the Big 12 standings.

Kansas (-200) holds a half-game edge over defending national champion Baylor (+220) and has put some distance between the rest of the teams in the race for the Big 12 regular-season title.

Kansas (+1400) and Baylor (+1500) have the best odds among the Big 12 teams to win the national title.

Ochai Agbaji (+750) of Kansas has the fourth-best odds to win the national player of the year award.

Here’s a look at this weekend’s games in the Big 12 with some information for those who bet online.

Texas Longhorns vs Baylor Bears

Date, time, TV: Saturday, Noon ET, ESPN2

Baylor has won the last four meetings with Texas and covered in each of the last three. The last time Texas won at Baylor was in 2016, when the Longhorns prevailed 67-59 when listed by the college basketball spreads as 4½-point underdogs. Baylor has won the last four times that the Bears played host to Texas, but covered against the spread in just two of those games.

Four of the last six games between the Bears and Longhorns have gone over the total.

No. 20 Texas (18-6, 7-4 in the Big 12) has won five of last six games but has covered in just three of those contests.

No. 10 Baylor (20-4, 8-3) started the season 15-0 but are just 5-4 since. The Bears had failed to cover in three games in a row before its decisive win at Kansas State on Wednesday.

Baylor is 2-2 since leading scorer LJ Cryer was sidelined. Texas is +14 in turnovers in the last two games.

Oklahoma Sooners vs Kansas Jayhawks

Date, time, TV: Saturday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

Kansas is looking to beat Oklahoma for the 12th time in the last 15 meetings. The last time the Sooners won in Lawrence was in 1993, with Kansas winning the last 19 games at Allen Fieldhouse.

Three of the last four games between the Sooners and Jayhawks went under the total.

Oklahoma (14-10, 4-7) has lost seven of its last nine games and covered against the college basketball spreads just three times during that span. One of those came during a 15-point home win against Texas Tech when the Sooners were listed as a three-point underdog. The Sooners are just 2-5 on the road.

Oklahoma is 2-3 in one-possession games with one of the losses coming to Kansas on Jan. 18.

No. 8 Kansas (19-4, 8-2) had won seven of its last eight games before its three-point loss at Texas. The Jayhawks are 2-5 in their last seven games against the spread while three of their last four games went under the total.

Jalen Wilson is averaging 16.5 points, nine rebounds and three steals in the last two Kansas games.

Umoja Gibson is coming off season-highs of 30 points and eight 3-pointers in Oklahoma’s win over Texas Tech. He went 8 of 11 from 3-point range in the win after going 6 of 22 in his previous four games.

West Virginia Mountaineers vs Oklahoma State Cowboys

Date, time, TV: Saturday, 2 p.m. ET, Big 12 Now/ESPN+

Something will have to give when a pair of struggling teams get together.

The Mountaineers ended a seven-game losing streak with a 79-63 win over visiting Iowa State. It was just the second time in the last eight games that West Virginia covered against the Las Vegas odds. Seven of West Virginia’s last eight games went over the total.

Oklahoma State (11-12, 4-7) has lost five of its last six games and has covered in only one of its last five. Four of Oklahoma State’s last five games finished over the total.

West Virginia (14-9, 3-7) has won four of the last six games against Oklahoma State, including a 70-60 home win on Jan. 11 when the Mountaineers were favored by 2½ points. West Virginia has won the last two games in the series hosted by the Cowboys. Eleven of West Virginia’s wins have come at home.

West Virginia’s Taz Sherman has at least two 3-pointers in five of his last six contests. Oklahoma State has 19 steals and 15 blocked shots in its last two games.

Texas Christian Horned Frogs vs Texas Tech Red Raiders

Date, time, TV: Saturday, 4 p.m. ET, Big 12 Now/ESPN+

Texas Tech has won six of the last seven games against Texas Christian and has gone 7-1-1 against the spread in the last nine meetings.

Five of the last seven games between the teams went over the total. Each of the last five games in the series have been decided by at least 11 points.

TCU (16-5, 5-4) has won three of its last four games and covered in each of the three victories. The Horned Frogs’ last five games have gone over the total.

Ninth-ranked Texas Tech (18-6, 7-4) had covered in six consecutive games before losing 70-55 at Oklahoma on Wednesday as a three-point favorite on the road. Texas Tech is 14-0 at home and is the only Big 12 team still undefeated at home.

The Red Raiders are 5-2 straight up in their last seven games, with the average margin of victory being 14.2 points.

Texas Tech is 6 of 38 on 3-pointers in the last two games.

Damion Baugh is averaging 17.5 points in TCU’s last four games.

Kansas State Wildcats vs Iowa State Cyclones

Date, time, TV: Saturday, 6 p.m. ET, SEC Network

Kansas State has beaten Iowa State three straight times including a 2020 win at Iowa State. Four of the last five games in the series were decided by 10 points or less.

Kansas State (12-11, 4-7) has lost four of its last six games but are 5-3 against the spread in the last eight.

Iowa State (16-8, 3-8) opened the season with 11 wins in a row but since then is 4-8 and 5-7 against the spread.

Maybe returning home will help because the Cyclones lost their last two road games by an average of 19 points. Three of Iowa State’s last four games went under the total.

Iowa State has been outscored by 25 points in the second half in its last two games.

Nijel Pack is averaging 24.3 points on 57 percent shooting in Kansas State’s last three games.
