Games To Bet in the Big Ten This Week
Purdue not only fell out of the top spot in the national polls but the Boilermakers now trail Wisconsin in the Big Ten standings despite being the only team in the Big Ten still undefeated at home. When looking at the college basketball picks, Rutgers and Northwestern are both favored at home on Wednesday.
Michigan is the only team in the Big Ten with a losing record this season and the only one not to have a winning mark at home.
Purdue received a total of 32 first-place votes but fell from No. 1 to No. 2 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls. Wisconsin went from 15th to eighth in the coaches poll and from 15th to 11th in the AP rankings while Illinois comes in at No. 14 in both polls.
When looking at the college basketball futures odds, Purdue (+850) has the best odds of winning the NCAAM championship. Illinois (+4000) and Wisconsin (+4000) are the next Big Ten teams listed.

Indiana snapped a four-game losing streak against Wisconsin with a 63-45 home win in the most recent matchup with the Hoosiers covering as five-point favorites.
Wisconsin has won its last 15 home games against Indiana although the Hoosiers did cover in five of those games. The last time Indiana won at Wisconsin was in 2006.
Indiana was just blown out at home by Purdue thanks to being outscored 22-4 at the foul line. Malik Reneau’s streak of consecutive double-digit games ended at six.
Wisconsin just lost on the road to Penn State despite 23 points from sophomore AJ Storr.
Wisconsin is 6-4 against the Las Vegas College Basketball odds at home this season.
Purdue Boilermakers (16-2 SU, 10-6-2 ATS) at Iowa Hawkeyes (11-6 SU, 8-9 ATS)

Purdue has won eight of the last 10 games against Iowa. One of those losses did happen at home back in 2020.
Four of the last six games between the teams landed under the total.
Purdue has responded pretty well after its road loss to Nebraska. The Boilermakers have put up 95 and 87 points in the last two games. Zach Edey, listed by our sportsbook as the front-runner in the National Player of the Year odds, is averaging 31.5 points and 17 rebounds in the wins over Penn State and Indiana.

Fran McCaffrey became the winningest coach in Iowa men’s basketball history after the Hawkeyes went on the road and beat Minnesota 86-77 behind 25 points from Ben Krikke.
The Boilermakers have covered in just two of their four road games this season. Iowa leads the Big Ten with 13 of its games landing over the total. Eight of the 10 home games played by the Hawkeyes went over the total.

The Wildcats allowed Wisconsin to shoot 50% from the field and on 3-pointers in an eight-point loss the last time out. Nebraska was unable to build on the 88-72 win over Purdue as the Cornhuskers fell 94-76 to Iowa three days later despite 34 bench points.
Northwestern has won seven games in a row against Nebraska even though Nebraska covered in three of those matchups. Four of the last six games between the teams finished over the total.
Nebraska is 8-4 ATS at home so far during the 2023-24 season.
