No. 2 Kansas is not only the class of the conference, but one of the best teams in the country. The Jayhawks are 12-1 with notable wins over Kentucky, Tennessee and UConn. Bill Self’s squad has been led by Michigan transfer and big man Hunter Dickinson.

Kansas has not been as favorable in the Las Vegas NCAAB odds. The Jayhawks are 5-7-1 against the spread this season. Kansas is 1-3-1 ATS over the last five outings.
The Jayhawks begin conference play with upcoming matchups against TCU and UCF. Kansas’ next marquee contest comes against No. 11 Oklahoma on Saturday, Jan. 13.

Former AAC School Houston Bolsters Depth to Big 12
The addition of No. 3 Houston adds even more depth for the Big 12. The Cougars get a step up in competition joining the Big 12 from the American Athletic Conference.
Houston has wins over Utah, Xavier and Texas A&M as part of the team’s 13-0 start to the season. The Cougars are 7-5-1 against the spread in these matchups at the sportsbook.
Two of the surprises of the season have been No. 11 Oklahoma and No. 12 BYU. Key Sooners’ victories include Providence, Iowa and USC. Oklahoma will get to prove if the team has staying power as the team takes on Kansas on Jan. 13.
Texas Could Still Be a Contender in Final Big 12 Season
No. 12 Texas hoops is looking to see if the Longhorns can leave the Big 12 after a strong showing – just as the football program did. This marks Texas’ final basketball season in the Big 12 before moving to the SEC.
The 12-1 Longhorns have victories over LSU and Louisville to begin the season. Texas has been a disappointment in the NCAAB odds, going 4-9 against the spread.
The Longhorns games have trended on hitting the under. Texas has had eight games go under, while five games have hit the under.
No. 18 Baylor had success against two SEC programs with wins over Florida and Auburn to begin the season. Unlike most of the other Top 25 Big 12 teams, Baylor has had success at the sportsbooks. The Bears have a marquee showdown against No. 12 BYU on Jan. 9.
