SEC Games to Bet: Another Big Test For Kentucky
Auburn sent quite the message on Valentine’s Day with a 40-point win over South Carolina in a matchup of top-15 teams while Tennessee had no trouble with unranked Arkansas on the road Wednesday.
When looking at the NCAA basketball odds, the only underdog to win in the SEC on either Tuesday or Wednesday was Vanderbilt.
Could there be more surprises when it comes to the NCAAB picks this weekend?
There are four teams separated by one game at the top of the SEC standings so multiple contests will impact the race for the top seed in the SEC tournament.
Auburn is the only SEC team undefeated at home while Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee all have winning records on the road.
Alabama is fifth, Auburn comes in sixth and Tennessee is seventh in the NCAA NET rankings, one of the tools used to select and seed the NCAA Tournament. No other SEC team is in the top 20.
Tennessee fell two spots at No. 8 in the Associated Press top 25 poll and went from sixth to ninth in the USA Today coaches poll. No. 11 South Carolina, No. 13 Auburn, and No. 15 Alabama give the SEC four of the top 15 teams in the AP poll.
When looking at the odds of winning March Madness, Tennessee leads the SEC with +1200 championship odds followed by Auburn at +1600, Alabama at +2000, and Kentucky at +2500.
1. Texas A&M (15-9, 11-13 ATS) at Alabama (17-7 SU, 15-9 ATS)

A win in the 2023 SEC tournament allowed Alabama to snap a five-game losing streak against the Aggies. It was also the fourth time in the last five meetings that a game between the Aggies and Crimson Tide landed under the total.
Alabama’s 11-1 record at home is one of the reasons why the Crimson Tide are sitting atop the SEC standings.
The Crimson Tide scored 109 points the last time out after putting up 99 in its first game in February. Mark Sears led the way in the win over LSU with 23 points while Latrell Wrightsell had six 3-pointers en route to 21 points.
A surprising one-point loss to Vanderbilt dropped the Aggies to 4-4 on the road this season. However, leading scorer Wade Taylor is averaging 21.1 points on the road compared to 18.8 at home.
Alabama’s 10-2 record against the college basketball spread at home is the best mark in the SEC.
2. Florida (17-7 SU, 11-12-1 ATS) at Georgia (14-10 SU, 12-11-1 ATS)

This has been quite the stretch for Florida with wins over ranked Kentucky and Auburn teams. If not for a one-point loss to Texas A&M, the Gators would be taking a seven-game winning streak into this matchup.
When the teams met in Gainesville in late January, Florida won an entertaining overtime affair 102-98 despite squandering a 21-point lead in the second half. Sophomore Micah Handloogten led the way with 23 points and 17 rebounds and both of those are season-high totals.
Florida is looking to beat Georgia for the 10th straight time. The Bulldogs did cover in four of the previous nine losses. The last time that Georgia beat the Gators at home was in 2018. The Gators have been favored in each of the last 24 meetings against Georgia.
Freshman Silas DeMary had 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting in his last game but Georgia lost its fifth game in a row, falling to Arkansas 78-75. The Bulldogs are 2-5 in their last seven games decided by less than 10 points.
Georgia is 6-7-1 against the Las Vegas odds at home this season with Florida 3-3 ATS at home.
3. Kentucky (17-7 SU, 14-10 ATS) at Auburn (20-5 SU, 16-9 ATS)

Kentucky picked up a much-needed win as Ugonna Onyenso tied the Rupp Arena record with 10 blocked shots against Ole Miss. The Wildcats could have their hands full with an Auburn team that put up 101 points against No. 11 South Carolina.
