No.12 Arizona (12-4, 3-2) got a wake-up call in its last game, but now playing USC (8-9, 2-4) at home, will try to get back on track. Because of injuries and Arizona looking for redemptions, this game could be an excellent option for college basketball picks today.
In the Trojans’ last game, they played without their top two scorers, and it looked like it, losing to Colorado 68-58. The Wildcats also lost their previous game, upset by Washington State, 73-70, which was the team’s second shocking loss over the last four games.

ATS Pick: Arizona -19½ (-110)
There will be some crucial reasons why Arizona can cover this large college basketball spread. Given how the Wildcats played in their last game, it might be surprising to have them covering this large spread, but because this matchup will be played at McKale Center and USC could be without its top two scorers, that makes it possible.
Arizona has been entirely different at home compared to being on the road. The Wildcats are undefeated at home through eight games, two against Pac-12 opponents. One of the Wildcats’ biggest home wins was a 97-50 victory against Colorado after losing for the first time in Pac-12 play, 100-82, on the road to Stanford. Returning home after a tough road loss seems exactly what Arizona needs to have a big night.
On top of that, USC will already be without star freshman Isaiah Collier, who is averaging 15.4 points and 4.1 assists per game this season due to a hand injury. To make matters worse, leading scorer Boogie Ellis (18.7 points per game) missed the last game with a hamstring injury and is questionable to face Arizona.
Given all these factors, despite the recent struggles for Arizona, it makes sense to back it in college basketball picks to cover against USC.
Over/Under Pick: Over 158 ½ (-110)
Taking the over could be risky for college basketball betting. For one, USC’s offense without Collier and Ellis completely fell off the map. The Trojans scored 58 points without them, and Bronny James getting the start was not the answer, missing all seven of his shots in the loss to Colorado. If Ellis still doesn’t play, it will be concerning for USC’s offensive production.
However, Arizona still has one of the highest-scoring offenses in the nation. The Wildcats are averaging 91.2 points per game, second in the country and first in the Pac-12. Even though they only scored 70 points in the last game, Caleb Love scored 28 but was the only player over 11.

Given that USC’s defense is nothing special, allowing up 74.4 points per game, Arizona should be able to carry this game to the over, looking for a big offensive night after a loss. Furthermore, Arizona faced one of the best defenses in the Pac-12 in the last game, which USC is not close to being.
Player Prop Pick: Caleb Love Under 18 Points (-182)
Right now, Love could be one of the hottest college basketball players. He is coming off a 28-game performance and has scored 20 or more points in seven of the last nine games. Love is averaging 18.3 points per game and 22.4 in conference games. However, Arizona, facing a beat-down USC team, might not need a big night from Love. He should still have a big night but not play the number of minutes to hit his total points.
