Arizona State Sharing the Ball
Arizona State was a little inconsistent early in the season, but coach Bobby Hurley hopes his team is finding its rhythm with its current win streak. Arizona State topped Washington at home on Sunday thanks to dishing out 23 assists on 29 made baskets.
“We’re transitioning from Guard U to Lob U, that’s what it was looking like in the second half, the showcase of athleticism,” Hurley said after Sunday’s win. “It wasn’t only in the open court I think Jamiya (Neal) had a couple against their zone where we were able to get Devan (Cambridge) a cut on the back line.
“I know there were a lot of assisted baskets and we’re always pleased to see that. So it was a good win and I’m very happy about it.“
Senior guard Devan Cambridge led the offensive assault with 18 points after scoring in single digits in three straight contests. Cambridge is averaging 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds this season.
Neal had his first double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Neal is averaging just 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds but has reached double digits in scoring in two of the last four contests.
Oregon Hoping To Play Better at Home
The Oregon Ducks have three losses on their home floor this season, with one understandable but two a little surprising. Oregon fell to current No. 1 Houston in November, but it also has lost to UC Irvine and Utah Valley at home, and it’s hoping to re-establish some dominance with another win on Thursday.
Senior center N’Faly Dante had 17 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals in Saturday’s win at Utah. He’s averaging 12.9 points, a team-high 7.0 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 1.1 steals this season.
Senior guard Will Richardson averages a team-high 14.6 points and 5.4 assists while recording 1.6 steals per contest. He had back-to-back games of over 20 points but averaged 8.0 points over the last two contests.
Senior forward Quincy Guerrier is another double-digit scorer for the Ducks, averaging 10.8 points and 4.6 rebounds.

Arizona State vs Oregon Head-to-Head
The Sun Devils are on a two-game winning streak in their rivalry with the Ducks, sweeping both matchups last season. That came after the Ducks swept the two-game series in 2020-21.
Last year’s win in Eugene was the first for Arizona State since the 2010-11 season. The college basketball lines for Thursday’s contest favor the Ducks to get another home win against the Sun Devils.
